We wheel my 2000 XJ very hard and have a HP30 with Artec truss, chromoly axles, 4.88 gears with an ARB locker. Rear is 8.25 with ZJ disc conversion, 4.88’s and ARB. I’m running 35 inch tires. You just need to be smart about the skinny pedal. Anything can break if you abuse it. Pick the right line and you’ll be fine!

Ive ran a set up similar for years and been burried to my tits in mudd dowm by the swampy trails in my area and would hold her wide the F open until my 35s crawled out. Never broke a thing . But it never got stuck. Mainly did obstacle courses and crawling.

Overbuilding stuff is something I've also noticed when I migrated from a TJ to a XJ. It seems people in the XJ community complain that the HP Dana 30 isn't even strong enough for 33s! Meanwhile people wheel the piss outta TJs and LJs on 35s with the LP Dana 30 locked and are perfectly happy with that setup.

Hey Ronnie. Let me say I apreciate all of your videos man!! Thank You for all your work on this channel!! I have a 99 Clasic picked it up a couple years ago for 2k. I knew it was going to need some work done on it such as suspension and some minor rust issues as well. Pretty much been using this for a daily driver but kept it in town. Since I changed up my job this year I have been driving it on the highway, and let me say it fell apart quickly lol.. Started getting Death Wobble that got so bad I could no longer drive it safely. So I ordered a stock replacement kit for the front end and replaced everything from bearings/seals/breaks/ball joints/u-joints/tie rods/bushings/control arms... pretty much everything on the front end. Drove great in town, but still got DD out on the highway around 55mph. The trackbar bolt was a little wallerd so I found and ordered an upgrad kit that came with a bigger bolt and bushing to match, drilled out the old hole and tightened that all up for me.. That took care of the DD, but I was still getting a whole bunch of vibrations, and the truck was waddling a little still.. I rotated my very old tires, and the problem moved to the rear end. Since the rear end needed replaced as well I went ahead and replaced everything on the rear as well.. Seals/bearings/springs/shocks/bushings..etc.. Drove to work a couple days ago and still noticed some vibrations that got worse as I drove home once again waddling through town.. Upon further inspection of the Tires, I now noticed the belts are broke and wore through the tires. Although all these things definatly needed replaced. This pretty much tells me most of this DD/waddling issue was probebly the tires all along. Heading to the tire shop today!! Will post an update after I get a proper Alignment, and new treads.. : ) (New tires, and it rides like new again!!)

Caster was definitely the biggest game changer when it came down to steering in my case. Ended up doing control arm drops at the time and lost my previous caster adjustment. 0° caster made the jeep feel exactly like mentioned, where it felt like it was being pushed over the road. Was able to adjust it to 4° (fixed lower adjustable upper) and it made a huge difference. Don’t want to invest anymore money into the short arms so waiting for long arms to give me the extra adjustment I need to crank it out to 8. Mine is a 2000, and the LP held up just fine, I only upgraded to the HP for better caster cause I could work with the pinion angle more, and for $50 I could build something on the side and take my time instead of the jeep being at the shop for a week. Also! My favorite upgrade in steering is the Ironman4x4fab steering brace. All of my steering is new and parallel and it seriously made such a huge difference in the steering. Sitting at 80mph with a crosswind is still two finger driving

Everything you mention here is very important. I found out the hard way after experiencing DW in front of a semi on the hiway at 65 mph.
Thought we were goners that day. I have a 1994 ZJ with mild 2" lift, ALL new front end parts, 4 new springs control arms, bushings dampener etc I'm on my 2nd track bar too. BUT found it has a bent front rim AND unequal caster left/right and toe setting is off. Haven't driven it since and waiting on new caster bolts and 4 new rims. DW can strike at anytime and can be dangerous. Thanks for explaining this good information.

I guess I got pretty lucky. Installed an IRO 6.5 long arm rock link and it rides like a dream. Everything feels tight and bumps are smooth and drama free. The only issue is I'm temporarily running it with the 1" spacers and factory drive shaft and getting some shake in the driveshaft.
I have the SYE kit in the garage, just need to get around to installing it. Oh and then order a new driveshaft...
BTW, I really like the black headliner. I think the crazy designs and patterns everyone does looks ghetto imo.

From looking looks to be mainly exhaust flange itself. But har to tell without checking with hp 30 in for reference. Look forward to builds.

I've been replacing everythingggg and its on the road passed new York inspection but I have bump steer and I have where it doesn't return to straight. Like if I turn left a little i have to steer back right. I have a 2-2.5 inch left with 30inch tires, and I have the skills to do anything to it, replaced bearings and shocks and just everything but idk how to actually "tune?" The suspension. I want to get rid of the extra play in the wheel and the bumpsteer.

You dont need a lift kit you need a lift system. Shocks springs bump stops control arms trac arms brake line extensions and more its not just raising it.
Also I stopped listening to you once you said you bought parts off amazon.
