Hey Steven great video , I drove those vehicles when I was stationed in Okinawa Japan cool vehicles very useful . Yeah so I have a 2001 XJ and I lifted it 4.5 inches with the OLD. man EMU lift and I will be going with 31" Cooper AT MT's that should be a good look you think
33s or 35s look perfect on xjs with 4.5 i have a set of each. This weekend ill be switching to 35s with 1.5 inch spacers for upcoming hurricane creek trip. I cut my front simply for the flex but just took my rear flares off for the rear cause im still on leafs in the rear and dont flex a whole much anyways back there.
While I think a 2JZ swap is a really cool idea in an XJ, as this motor can make a ton of HP and torque. The problem I see is the torque on a 2JZ, is high rpm torque. Not very useful in the off road environment. The stock 4.0L Jeep motor makes most of its torque on the bottom end. Have you found you 2JZ setup to be good off road? Just wondering. God bless and stay well.
Very good point, and factual, although I haven’t taken the 2JZ XJ off road yet due to structural integrity. Stay tuned for more videos off road coming soon!
More food from thought..rolled my Cherokee going 30 km hrs.. with 35 s there enough weight to crush ur roof..scary.. made of tin..I put roof n roll cage on mine..death box on wheels with out a cage
I expected to see a Xj's but you started with Japanese vehicles and then XJ's but ended up on your Mercedez but we are not interested on Mercedez, Jeep Cherokee's are a Legends more than Mercedez, just so you know a little of history bout the Xj's they were made by Daimler german's engineers that made the XJ's the best more than your Mercedez. I own two of XJ's 4.0 by Daimler Chrysler (military grade vehicles) I know you may think about another nay sayer or bias but mainly owner of a 2018 Chevy ZL1 Cheerio 🍻
I’m getting a 3” lift on my XJ today. I’m excited about getting it back. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Hell yeah! We have XJ too, with lift and other offroading upgrades. This car is a beast!
This is actually super helpful, ive been looking at lifts and tires for a bit now and ill most likely follow this build setup!

these mini trucks are awesome for farms or if you have a lot of land.
