  • Cancer is a problem for us today in a way it wasn’t for previous generations. But, luckily, we also have better ways to fight back.
From Artificial Intelligence's ability to spot subtle abnormalities on scans which could signal cancer to new targeted and personalised treatments.
Scientists are even working on developing blood tests to detect abnormal DNA in one’s blood which could signal cancer in its very early stages, leading to earlier commencements of treatments which lead to better outcomes.
One of the biggest breakthroughs in cancer treatments in the last 15 years is Immunotherapy, which involves harnessing the body's own immune system to fight tumours.
But, despite all these advancements are we missing something? Are all people giving access to these latest diagnostics and treatments fast enough in the public health care system? Are we tackling cancer from all its angles with sufficient attention? What is it that we can do further to win the battle against cancer?

Never thought I would click on a video about cancer and be hopeful about the future!

Talk talk and more talk about curing cancer...WHAT IS CAUSING IT SHOULD BE THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION! How come children are having rare forums of cancer? There has to ve something causing it? Is it child hood vaccinations? Is it the water supply? Chemicals in food? Medicine the mother took in pregnancy? Look at thalidomide in the 1950s was investigated and found to cause children being born with severe disabilities! Big money involved in looking for a "cure" but don't want to discuss what is causing it?

Such a good point! What is it that is increasing the risk of getting cancer and how could we limit those risks?

NO, definitely not, and why, too many share holders, with profit in mind and not concerned about cancer. The more money thrown at cancer each year, the more we get. It is a trillion dollar industry. Who would want to fix cancer.

Just look at what you eat. Stop eating sugar.

There is more than sugar causing cancer

What we eat definitely has an impact- I just posted a video on Ultra-processed foods and the latest evidence based findings on their impact on our health. Even though we still need to learn more about them and we are only scratching the surface still, many epidemiological studies (studies looking at large populations) have so far shown associations between high consumption of ultra-processed foods and ill health, including cancers.

There are so many other factors to consider , including what we eat, that is true!!
