- Your immune system recognizes foreign objects within your body. It is supposed to know when you are sick, whether is infection or malignancy. But cancer cells find a way to evade the immune system. At times, we have to find a way to turn this characteristic "off" and allow the immune system to do its job. I discuss that and more here.

Hi, i think that further explanation or explains of this would help because you didn't give a person a clear understanding outside the med terms. What does this actually mean is it something to be done under doctors care or can you do at home? If so, how?
Means we use the immune system to see the cancer in our bodies. Cancer cells turn off the immune system to survive. We have developed new medicines to turn that system back on. You need a physician to prescribe the therapies

I did nivolumab. It gave me pneumonitis. They took me off. It was not good for me. I do understand it can be helpful for others.
Hmm, I wonder if the cancer cells are different from the cancer ” stem cells”. Meaning that what if that’s why this therapy isn’t 100% effective yet. In other words, it allows our immune system to recognize the cancer cells but not the cancer stem cells, thus they survive but go undetected using conventional PET scans etc. And then at some point later the cancer emerges somewhere else in the body, sets up camp to start making new cancer cells. I believe it must be a two prong therapy where you’re targeting cancer cells with the immune system and starving the stem cells using other protocol such as diet, supplements and off label drugs

I've often wondered if sometimes people get cancer and their body fights it off before they're aware of it.
I have heard that it happens all the time, and we don't even know. The question is how does the body do it, and why sometimes it does grow, what was different when it did develop. Was it extreme stress, nutritional deficiencies, environmental, something in the food we eat or even the air we breathe. Maybe several of these things all at once. Some have extreme courage and will to live, and change their lifestyle altogether to win the battle, and with God's blessings they indeed do.
Others are not so fortunate. What is it that makes all the difference?
Emotions play a huge role in the strength or lack thereof, of the immune system. So does faith in God.
I do suggest decluttering the home environment, even moving, or at least changing the colors of the rooms, to change the mood. Getting rid of toxic relationships, and anything with negative emotions attached to it. Forgiving everyone, and not holding grudges, because these things fester on body and soul. Letting go, because forgiving is a favor to self.
