    Yeah, taking the pet Fury out for a ride. I use the word pet to compare it to a faithful dog that sits quietly in the corner wagging its tail when one walks by. Happy to be taken out now and then, and never agressive. Yes its a powerful pet, but its reliable and dependable. Unlike the MT07 or ZZR1400 to mention a couple, they will get the blood pumping, give you goose bumps and scare you into leaving skid marks in your pants, always trying to catch you out. Of all the bikes of my 45 years riding, the Fury is the only one I can not part with. Others come and go, but my Faithful Fury will always be by my side, sitting quietly in the corner wagging it's tail when I walk in the garage, ready to go fo a ride.

      The Fury needs some attention this week, and she's going to get it. New air filter, probably new battery.

    I commuted my 2017 Fury for 2 years most days above 35F and dry. 150 miles round trip. Carried an extra liter of gas because the "I'm thirsty" light comes on at 125 miles. The ride was all I95 between Wilmington DE and Baltimore MD. The stock seat hurt but the real reason I changed it was because my lady likes to ride. Got Mustang with her back rest but then changed to Corbin one piece with built in short sissy. Put the biggest windshield Memphis shades made for it. I rode cold weather and needed the shield. Only heated gear was Milwaukee rechageable gloves. Got the bike new in 2018 as a leftover 2017. My first fuel injected bike and I've been riding over 47 years. Love this thing. My commuter scooter.

    What a spectacular place. I see so much YT vision of the US going down the gurgler with poverty n homelessness n craziness etc it's nice to see something pleasant for a change. Hi from Au. 👋

    YEEHAW! i love this little video. that is a beautiful road your on. i want to gold pan that river(when it's not so fast)after all it is Colorado, gold in them there creeks. like the exhaust answer. me thinks a set of mini apes would be cool on the Fury. there more popular now than before, people haven't changed a thing and still want 8 grand for a 2010-2016- blows my mind. i am paying 7 grand for my Rebel 500(bad credit or i would be riding a Fury) i have seen night videos of the speed-o-meter, doesn't look bad at all. how about an LED headlight? Well anyway, don't stop with the Fury video's, riding roads like you are on are fun to watch for the bike and the scenery. ride on Marshall, be safe.

      David, There was (probably is) gold in the creeks that feed that river. There was a mining town called Manhatten in that Canyon, and another ghost town called Teller City. The Fury and I left Sturgis yesterday. She got hailed on last night, but I don't see any damage. There is lots of video coming up.

      Go punch some over time save up that extra grand. You’ll be happier in the long run getting the bike you want than investing all the time and money into a bike you had to settle for. I wanted a m8 Harley preferably a road king settled for the 2020 FXST. But the difference in price was several thousand dollars not 1. Did about 2 months of overtime 12 hours 7 days got the down payment secured the financing. I’m blue collar factory worker nothing fancy. The only caveat I would have is if you are a very green rider. But to be fair I went from a chopped out moped maybe 100 cc I rode a decade ago to a nearly 700 lb 1753cc bike. But I’ve put nearly 4000 miles on it in a month and a half. Haven’t dropped it but one time and that was backing in my gravel driveway. (I live on a gravel road) and there is a nice little hump right at the beginning of the entrance. Backed up locked forks to the right and pressed the front break when it started to roll 🙄 thank you engine guards. Never made that mistake again. Never laid it down in the road and I’ve hit 93mph so far.
      Edit: I’m not saying I’m built different it’s like guitar some people start and they can play Yellow Ledbetter in a year where others myself included can only do 3-5 chord country. Know your own limits and be happy that your honest with yourself.

    When you mentioned the single cam, I think you meant Single Pin Crank. That is what gives the V twin engine its potato patato classic rumble. Hondas 600, 750 abd 1300cc's have that, as well as the Fury!

    I'm interested to know if you get much buffeting behind your windshield. I am 6' tall and I have yet to ride a bike with a windshield without getting buffeting.

    • @ridingwithmarshall
      @ridingwithmarshall  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The trick is to make sure the windshield is up to your nose in height. You need to be looking just above it. I get air to my helmet, but no real turbulence. Now if you want to see what riding in a bubble is like, try the last generation Goldwing. You can hear the stereo barely turned up!

      The bike has a limiter. Honda has been slapping therm on bikes for awhile to protect the engines and probably to meet emission standards.

    Hi Marshall, I bought the same windshield as you - N25044. But the part that clamps around the handlebars doesn't fit. I can see that yours clamps tightly together with no space between the two pieces, mine isn't even close. Did you have any issues when clamping yours?

    • @ridingwithmarshall
      @ridingwithmarshall  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have any trouble, I'm guessing they sent you the wrong diameter kit? I'll look when I get home for insight, but I don't recall any mods to make it work.

      @@ridingwithmarshall thanks Marshall, one additional follow up question. Did you install your 2" handlebar risers before you add the windshield. I ask because when the bars are turned all the way right/left there's barely any room between the top of the tank and handlebars, maybe a 1/2". Would the bottom of the handlebar clamp scrape the tank?

    • @ridingwithmarshall
      @ridingwithmarshall  ปีที่แล้ว

      Email me @ RidingwithMarshall@gmail.com so I can mail you back photos. I'm at my day job now, or I'd go look. I don't remember which came first, the shield or the bar lift, I threw everything at it in the first 1000 miles (up to 6k now I think. To answer the question, nothing comes close to scraping the tank. I'll take photos later.

    Hello sr i just got a fury 2023 i like to ask if 2 inch raiser for handle bars is ok and wich seat is more comfortable mustang or corbin thank you

    • @ridingwithmarshall
      @ridingwithmarshall  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my opinion, Corbin was a leather-wrapped brick on the two I had. I prefer Mustang. The rise on the bars made it an all-day bike for me. I wish I could have made it 3", but there is not enough cable.

      It helps a lot. I'll take it off on hot days, but it let's me tug the throttle without the wind blowing me back further in the seat. Gives me some rock protection on the highway too.
