This is THE best video on the internet for those, like me, who attempted to update to Sequoia IOS. It is full of bugs. Don't install Sequoia until Apple fix the problem. I used the videos 3rd method to downgrade back to Sonoma and it worked. Thanks for the video.👋👋👋
This is the best video out there for people like me dealing with bugs and problems of Sequioa. My excel and Microsoft apps were just not working and i even changed my laptops to realize the problem is with the MacOS. With your 3rd and 2nd steps combined i was able to install Sonoma that was always working fine. Now i will wait at least 2-3 years before i even think of upgrading my MacOS
It's available in newer version of macos.. you can do as well it's on Top right..... click on the bottom (in which you turn on Wifi, Bluetooth, Airdrop.. ) it's called "Stage Manager" in between the Airdrop button and screen mirroring in the control centre.. Don't mind my English
when I purchased the mackbook Air M2 2023 model, Ventura was installed, now I am on Sequoia os. Now if i try to downgrade using the third method, then how can I again install the sonoma

I understand that downgrading your Mac mini can be tricky, especially if you’re not familiar with the tech side of things. Feel free to explain the issues you’re facing, and Here is our guide which you can follow as well - www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-downgrade-macos-without-losing-data/
If the boot option isn’t showing on your Mac, it could be due to several reasons. Here’s how you can troubleshoot: Check Your Startup Disk Settings > Go to Apple menu > System Settings > General > Startup Disk and ensure the correct disk is selected. Use the Boot Menu: Restart your Mac and hold down the Option (⌥) key during startup to manually select the boot disk.
Yes, you can do that. But I would suggest If you have erased your Mac, just connect it to internet and let it download the original macOS it came with.
@@iGeeksBlog tried this option initially but it just kept increasing the time while I waited more than 3 hours and still it was saying 14+ hours. So I had to choose the usb option but Mac was erased 😂
@@iGeeksBlog anything with sound. sometime when i start/end anything with audio it makes a tiny pop noise. (same noise you hear when u plug a audio jack into speakers when they are on) (15" M2 16GB 256 1 month 7 days old apple refurb purchase.)
If i buy a new macbook which comes with the latest OS Sequoia, can I still do the 3rd method? Or do i have the option of asking my apple provider to downgrade the OS to Sonoma and give?
I think you need to make a bootable drive, if you want to downgrade. You cannot use internet recovery to downgrade if your macbook already comes with Sequoia.
Thanks for covering all the options. Third option was the easiest for me since I didn't need to save any data. EDIT: It didn't work, and I used a different method. I explain more in the comment replies.
@@iGeeksBlog Coming back to this, the third option actually didn't work for me. I was on the public beta (maybe it only works with the dev beta) and the Sonoma installer said it couldn't install to the second volume. Instead, I found a different method. Go to recovery mode, disk utility, and then erase your entire drive. On restart, the option will automatically show up to install Sonoma.
this is my first time, id like to try the 3rd option.. is it really safe to erase the drive? i dont have data on it, but i am thinking that it would brick.. but if you say so, i will do it.. thanks
Good info, thank you!! Can you please confirm if nested virtualization is supported on Sequoia 15.0.1? I am trying to run .qcow2 images, for which console shows black screen and I don't see data on the console.
That's odd, never faced such an issue. I would suggest you to have a look at reddit as this is a new problem for me. On reddit I am sure you will find your answers.
I can also downgrade to stable version of macOS if I turn off beta updates from system settings and wait till stable version is released right? pls do let me know
Yes, if new stable version come out it will update to the new stable version from the beta, because it will stop updating to new beta's. But all of it is not downgrading. Thats Upgrading.

@@iGeeksBlog It's all set. thank you for sharing the info, this saved my yesterday's editing work. Both Photoshop and Lightroom were crashing after installing Sequoia beta. No more beta installations 😁

When I selected Time Machine it said I need to use migrate assistant?

You need to create a Bootable Drive using Sonoma.
This was clutch thanks!!

It takes around 40 mins to get installed and installation also depends on the mac you are installing macOS

It's showing 3 and 30 minutes to complete in the third method (ie, the internet recovery). Is it really take that much time?
30 min is the approximate time. And the time also depends on your internet speed.

Are you on Beta of macOS?
I followed the 3rd method. It tells me it will take 13 hours to complete. So after 13 hours MacOS Sonoma will activate properly without any problem?
Yes, it will. Just be patient.
If you use the second method do i lose all the data?
That is why it is advised to back up your data manually.
Will second method erase all my data?
Yes it will.
