I just started watching your old guides this week and was pleasantly surprised to see you’re still making BF4 vids, can we get some heli guides or gameplay as well?
I've recently heard that Ellen is a piece of shit to her staff, so the timing of this comment amuses me xD. As for the heli stuff I'm not really that great of a heli pilot to be honest, so not sure how entertaining that would be.
Back on PS3 the spotting icon of infantry wouldn't show up until you were very close even if you could spot them from further away, making it really difficult to shoot infantry with the cannon. However the Laser Guided and TV missile camera showed you the icons and allowed you to spot infantry way easier making it much simpler to line up the shot. So for a while I ran TV missiles mainly for spotting but also because it felt really cool to fire basically predator missiles on enemy infantry (even if they don't really have splash damage). I eventually got the hang of JDAMs and ditched TVs afterwards

Used to love jdam and then I gave rocket pods a fair shot for about a month and once you get the accuracy down you’re pretty much invisible unless the stealth is a pro
Used to always watch you! Mad new video! A cool thing you can do with the AA if you have rocket pods is do a straight down direct strafe. So wat you do is when it shoots at you is fly really high, but be directly above it on the minimap, the AA has to turn its turret in a weird way to hit you. Also it can't aim exactly 90 degrees up, so if you directly hit it at 90 degrees it makes it many times harder for it to kill you. Plus if you sky barrier rape when you strafe you can almost always get the vehicle destroy because you do 65 with rocket pods and then an easy 35 with the remaining mini gun. You need to be like staring at the big map before getting into position though. Bruh, watching this makes me want to go back to BF4, I miss the competitive days *cries*
That intro clip is EXACTLY why i stopped using tv missile...it doesnt even explode if it hits the ground near the target. It just fucks off into another dimension. And i, in the jet, dont get that luxury, and become tomato paste.

I am not gonna say TV guided is not good (it is good) but it is not suited for jet PILOTS. In Battlefield 2 jets got TV guided missles too but they are in the co pilots arsenal. You got the point right. Maybe but maybe they can add co pilots for attack jets in Battlefield 6
You had me at your intro and was agreeing with what you were saying. However, when you came to the Hydra Rocket parts, I feel like you're very new to them and probably needed a lot more time adjusting to them before making a video about them :p. Yes, you can use cannons and rocket pods in a single strafe (I do it all the time- you have to if you want to maximize damage output). I was watching how you strafe and your speed is the problem why you don't have enough time to switch between cannons and pods in a strafe... You need to brake into your strafe (without stalling, by picking up speed near the end of your strafe). Most of your strafes were ranging anywhere between 310-340, that is too fast to get enough damage out. You can use your pods at a further distance and if the vehicle moves, adjust your aim just as you would your gun if your opponent is jumping/sprinting. The biggest pro for the rocket pods are their huge damage against any chopper. You have a HIGH chance of shooting out pilots and their gunners/repairs. It may be hard at first, but after you get use to how to aim them against choppers, you'll be able to do it frequently. I'm not saying they're better than JDAMs. Both Pods and JDAMs have their pros and cons. Pods are still good against vehicles if you know how to use cannons and pods in a single strafe, but JDAMs are more effective against an MAA spamming active radar constantly over pods, but pods by far are most effective versus choppers. Those two are the biggest pros for both, in my opinion.
You're right man I don't have nearly as much experience with the rocket pods as I do with the JDAMs, so maybe that makes me a bit jaded in favour of the JDAMs. I think most games you almost always have to deal with a camping AA, so a lot of the time it doesn't give you much opportunity to go ham with the hydras.
@@GhostGamingg You can still deal with a camping MAA with rocket pods. It's a bit harder than dealing with it with JDAMs, but you can still strafe them pretty fast. An example is on Lancang (easiest map for MAA, in my opinion), going 65-0 with rocket pods and had a active radar spamming MAA trying for me the entire time. I killed it I think around 5-6 times. I always go for armor first, then infantry (as it should be).
I’m just going to use jdams I like jdams but like you said for infantry it’s not the best but for me I tried using rocket pods for me it’s worse I like jdams every time there is a lot of infantry I get a quad every time with rocket pods I don’t
I find that on many boats the angle you attack from determines whether the JDAM will hit, as with real life naval bombing, its best to attack the boat either from in front or from behind, this gives your bomb a larger surface to hit and gives you more room for error on your drop coming out of your gun strafe. If the boat is still for some reason then the angle doesn't matter much. I feel that mi pretty successful killing boats with jdams.
@@GhostGamingg Yeah, its not at the top of my priority list when flying attack jet but its something to keep in mind for sure, unless youve got to completly do another approach the kill is worth the extra bit of maneuvering most times. Ive got to play BF4 again! Theres too many fun games to play and i have too much homework to do, cant wait until summer Lmao.
Great video, my biggest concern with the rocket pods are against the enemy mobile AA tank. Can you please explain how you deal with this using rocket pods? With Jdams it is significantly easier to kill the AA.
Great vid. Though I have an irrelevant question. How do I deal with player jets who turn and spin sporadically? They go so slow I would more often than not go past while managing my turning speed and since they turn and spin so sporadically, I can't get the kill shots. Link to a vid would suffice TY.
Think you're talking about scissoring. Usually you need to slow down a lot as well and let them get out in front of you, otherwise they sort of bait you into following it and that's when they shake you. Alternatively you can just ecm and switch away from them and then 180 and re-engage
Thank you for the good videos. I have played this game since January 2014 and i hardly never played the jet or helis. Still not fully unlocked most of the items i think
@@GhostGamingg disregarding skins i have 2 unlocks left for the scout heli and 3 for the stealth jet. I can get damage, but very few kills with the helis and planes. Scout heli i have no kills at all and between all the other air crafts i have a total of 84 kills. I have by far the most kills with the attack jet Q5. I mainly keep getting taken out by pilot much better than me.That's why i am practicing so i can improve and watching videos like yours.
My issue with the JDAM, and this might just be a PS4 thing, is that ill fire the gau at a tank, switch to the jdam just before the tank so i can drop it on the tank, but the game has a delay before i can release the JDAM once ive pulled up the JDAM targeting screen so I always end up not dropping it or dropping it way too late
@@GhostGamingg Any tips coming up against another very good pilot? Any maneuvers outside of tighter turning? For example, if I'm being chased, I'll deploy ECM, pull up to 90° and slow down. The other jet sometimes flies past and then you're on their 6
I just started learning to fly jets in bf4, can someone recommend a good setup for attack/stealth jets and maybe a server were u can train ur flying skills (ps4), I'd really appreciate it :)
The best loadout options imo are Gyro Stabilizer to stop you crashing if you get hit by a heatseeker, and then ECM, and that goes for both jets. Unfortunately I can't really help with servers since I don't play on PS4.
Simply practice mate. It's hard to find worse pilots to practice against these days since most of the people still playing are fairly good at the jets already though
Just bought BF4 for PC since it was 3 bucks, have been using the little bird and Attack jets a ton, thanks to ur guides I’ve gone from complete retard to competent, even being able to go 40-0 in the attack jet multiple times. Thank you!

If you are a good jet pilot, you HAVE to use the jdam. The Hydra Rockets dont punish as much as the Jdam does.

That's true man. I usually try from the front of rear with JDAMs, but sometimes it means repositioning yourself and wasting time.

The tv missile makes your jet explode anyway at leasr the bug is still on xbox

Rocket pod deals significant damage to air vehicles if they can meet target. Especially helicopter.
ex) Attackhelio repairing on ground.

Yeah it's true rocket pods are nasty on air vehicles, problem is actually hitting them mid flight.
Heat seekers are good to new players (who can use canon but can’t dominate in air)
Hear seekers are pretty bad, even for new players.

Yeah I hear you man. That can be quite annoying, just gotta switch as soon as you have 50 damage done with the 30mm, the JDAM will do the rest.
