Also look into low porosity hair. I have a similar hair experience in that I hardly use any heat or color yet still have dryness and breakage. Just discovered this concept of low porosity and the way you're supposed to use hair care is completely different. I'm seeing some results even though I've just started.
When I first started trying to figure out hair care, I came across the “no poo” method. I didn’t wash my hair with shampoo for 2-3 months and it was awful. I have an oily scalp. Glad I’m finding info from people with more balanced opinions on hair care. And common sense 😂
Hey you are one of my favorite TH-camr I started to take care of my hair after watching your videos thankyou 🦋My hair type is 2b,2c hair and I absolutely love it.
Something that really annoys me is when people say that you need to wash your hair like once a week to have healthy. That just isn’t true we’re all different, personally if I only wash my hair once a week I get dry scalp and dandruff, that obviously is my body telling me I need to wash my hair more.
Does anyone else have this problem where the top outer layer of your hair is really dry, frizzy, and coarse. But all the hair underneath is nothing like that. Like the hair underneath is soft and not coarse or frizzy. I have this problem and I’m not sure what it stems from!
Yes my hair is like that too. The top layer is frizzy, almost wire-y. Looks dead, dry, LOTS of breakage with a little waviness. But when I part the top layer up, the underneath is perfectly straight, healthy, no breakage and frizz free. Idk why.
Hi, Audrey I really appreciate you dedicating your time to us :) Hair type: 2 a - b concerns: hair fall , frizzy , oily scalp, thin hair , tangles up easily. Goal : healthy voluminous hair , less hair fall and long hair
Hey y’all. I’ll tell you my stuff so it can help people. I have scalp psoriasis which means my scalp can be super dry and my roots will become super oily. I’ve found shampoos with peppermint in them or the T/Sal shampoo from Neutrogena works well! I avoid silicones and sulfate because I have 2b hair as well and they’ll build up on my scalp causing further inflammation. Rosemary oil also helps inflammation and hair loss I suffer from with scalp psoriasis. I aim to wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I use a moisturizing conditioner because my ends become dry and it benefits my hair. I use the L’Oréal Elvive serum cuz it’s lightweight and helps tame flyaways or when my hair is out of control from being thick. I wring the middle part to the ends out before putting the conditioner in and leaving it in for 2-3 minutes. Hair masks are essential for anyone no matter what. I always put my hair in a protective style when sleeping, so for me that’s a loose fan bun, braiding it, or a loose ponytail. I also use claw clips and velvet/satin scrunchies I always avoid ingredients that have been known to dry out the scalp and fragrance products because that will irritate my scalp condition. I usually go to the drugstore for everything considering I’m in school, so for me that’s Rite Aid and Target. My go to brand for example is usually Love Beauty and Planet for my conditioner. I always do my hair care routine at night because I have more time and I’m not in a rush. I try and air dry my hair all the time because the heat from the hair dryer inflames my scalp, but if I have done the Curly Girl Method, I wait at least 2 hours before setting the hair dryer on medium heat and low speed. I use the Not Your Mother’s Heat Protectant which I’d like to contain silicones because that will protect even more from heat damage. If anyone else has scalp psoriasis, please ask questions if you’re lost!! I’ve learned so much this year on how to care for my hair
So even though you said to not adopt a random hair care routine, I actually adopted yours like 2 weeks ago lmao 😂 I definitely have the same hair type as you though so I felt pretty good about my decision. But ANYWAYYYSS I bought the products from your hair care routine video and safe to say my hair has been feeling amazing! I have never had “long” hair so I’m excited for this journey :)
My hair type is 3A. My concerns are Frizz,Dry scalp,Hair not growing,And a lot of flakiness. Btw Audrey you have inspired me a lot on Haircare and I’m very grateful for coming across your channel❤.
Frizzy hair I just usually take a shower and then brush my hair but when I was watching your video I started using my spray bottle it has water and detangler and it's in them using this week and shiny leave n conditioner a wet hair brush and scalp massager
Hair type: I believe 2B. My hair is fine but has a lot of waves and easily frizzes/curls up. My hair gets dry super easily but my scalp generally tends to the oily side. Concerns are dryness, frizz, brassy color, and strengthening so that I can grow it longer & not lose so much hair :) also adding shine, it’s been so dull lately!
Great video! Hair type: wavy, fine, low ish porosity, oily scalp Goal: a conditioner that's moisturizing but doesn't weigh down my hair, a styling product with hold that isn't drying or give me buildup Go to products: Neutrogena clarifier, head and shoulders supreme shampoo, body shop pre shampoo hair oil weekly on the ends

Ok I have 1b hair, oily scalp Concerns: I’ve been bleaching and colouring for years and I’m ready to stop for the health of my hair, I’m worried about how thin it is Goals: to grow it out, get it thicker, and get it healthy!
hair type: 1a or 1b + super thin Scalp: oily Concerns: hair loss which is maybe stress related, frizz and no volume Goals: healthy hair, which doesnt fall out
i have recently been experiencing very oily hair , and have been having a little bit of flakiness, do you have any recommendations for this !! Love your videos ❤️
This is my hair type. Here is what works for me. I like the JVN pre-wash oil and just plain rosemary water. I wash my hair every 2 days btw. Before showering on washdays, i either use the scalp oil or rosemary water. I leave it for like 30 mins then proceed going in the shower and shampooing twice. This really helped me get rid of flakiness and reduces hair fall. For the oilyness that’s honestly due to hormones or any health changes you made.
Hey! My hair naturally gets oily fast. To combat this, I use a sulfate free shampoo with surfactants that effectively get rid of buildup without over drying my scalp (that can make my scalp produce even more oils). I then use a clarifying shampoo every few weeks to remove buildup. Also, I make sure not to condition my roots! I hope this helps💗
Thank you for this. My hair so coarse and dry but straight. My scalp is normal to dry. It helps me to use none salon shampoo with no silicone or sls. I can use good hair conditioner salon quality if affordable.
Sorry for being a bit late. Dry helpful video. Hair type-1b to 1c Concerns:frizz, hair loss, smoothness, itchy hair I do not have a lot of hair and the hair is very thin-medium hair. Goal:No more frizz, hair loss and there is smoothness and volume in hair. Do you have any suggestion?
Hair type: Dry/course. Wavy/curly a little bit! Very short! I think my hair is either 2b/2c. Hair goals: To grow my hair past my waist! Hair issues: breakage at the bottom my hair. Hair becoming more coarse as I age. I’m not that old I’m only 20.
Tysm for the video hair type: oily scalp, thin hair, 1B - 1C concerns: oily scalp, frizz, super thin/barley any hair volume especially the top of my head goals: less oily hair but still moisturized/shin, and more hair growth/volume
I don't know my hair type. I have very thick, coarse hair. I have a lot of hair and the strands are thick. My hair is wavy underneath and a little wavy on top. My hair concerns: dry frizzy hair with undefined curls. I would also love to know what my hair type is. I'm thinking 2c? Also, you are the first person I have seen that shows drugstore products! That was incredibly refreshing! I also could relate to the hair pulling! Hahaha I have a little one too 😅.
I have almost the same exact hairtype and concerns as you and trying to build a haircare routine on a budget .I saw you recommend affordable dupes for shampoos and hair masks and olaplex. Can you make a video with affordable product suggestions for each of the necessary steps and ingredients to look for(if the suggested products are not easily available in our country)?
Hair type: Mostly straight with slight waves. Scalp is more on the oily side. Hair concerns: Dandruff and hairfall. Hair also gets tangled and difficult to comb. Hair goals: Finding a good product to remove buildup, but also won’t strip my hair and scalp dry. I also want to reduce hairfall and grow hair in the areas which thinned out. Also want my hair to be soft, shiny and manageable. So for me, diys are working great for shine and manageability. Still trying to find a good shampoo tho, to deal with the buildup.
About Rosemary have a study that compare Rosemary and minoxidil, they Said that in 6 months they 2 have te sane efects but Rosemary don't have the side efects
My hair type and goals if anyone has similar hair with recommendations 1c - 1b, dry-ish (i think??), thin Goals: no dandruff, shiny, longer, healthier in general, no frizz
Hair type: Frizzy, wavy and dry. My hair is fine but have a lot of it. Hair care: olive oile before washing. Using sulfate chamboo response. And use nourising conditioner with cilicone. I blow dry my hair strait but without a brush. Then after I brush my hair. And use leave in condiiotner before straithning. in cold climate my hair get dry so i wil tug my hair in my coat in winter time. But in summer time I can have in free.
One of my MAIN & most wanted hair goal to happen is TO GET RID OF FRIZZ my hair is SO poofy and frizzy SPECIALLY when I comb it AND air dry it MY HAIR DRYER BROKE SO I HAD TO AIR DRY IT- it was a journey 🥲
this also happened with me after sm years of having healthy and long hair. best thing you can do is cut and start moisturizing esp ends (I use a store bought oil during the first 2 days as to reduce frizz and will use olive oil a few times a week for ends during winter as weather is super cold). sleeping in a braid really helps as well, I slept w hair loose the other day and got a split end when I woke up but I just had to cut it lol. so the ☆key to avoiding split ends is moisture!☆
Hair type : between 1c and 1d Concern : hair gets oily really fast, hair has a little frizz Scalp : dry scalp My hair is silky my goal is it to be really silky like yours and to have long healthy halr
•My hair type is 2b , 2c or 2a..!!? •i think maybe my scalp is oily..but too too less oily..i mean its a bit oily..!!? •hair concern is hmm..frizz , hair fall when brushing ,
I've bleached (growing it out tho), 2c/3a, long, thick, coarse, low porosity hair. It's funny because my siblings all have veeeeery thin and soft hair meanwhile I'm a tangled, matted hairmonster lmao. My sister usually refers to my hair as 'barbie hair that hasn't been brushed meets hay'

Hair type - thick, medium density and in the range of 2a - 2c
Concerns - dry scalp and frizz
Goals - soothe my scalp and get rid of frizz
I was a hairstylist for 6 years and I love your videos!
Idk why.
Yes! It’s like the outer layer is facing the storm alone😭
Same here sisters
I have it the opposite way 😂
omfg my hair like this too 😭 did u find anything that can help it
Hi, Audrey I really appreciate you dedicating your time to us :)
Hair type: 2 a - b
concerns: hair fall , frizzy , oily scalp, thin hair , tangles up easily.
Goal : healthy voluminous hair , less hair fall and long hair
Loved this vid!!
I also use claw clips and velvet/satin scrunchies
I always avoid ingredients that have been known to dry out the scalp and fragrance products because that will irritate my scalp condition.

Hi did you find the right product?
So even though you said to not adopt a random hair care routine, I actually adopted yours like 2 weeks ago lmao 😂 I definitely have the same hair type as you though so I felt pretty good about my decision. But ANYWAYYYSS I bought the products from your hair care routine video and safe to say my hair has been feeling amazing! I have never had “long” hair so I’m excited for this journey :)
yayyyy! I'm so glad that my routine is working for you!
You have put a lot of work in to this. Thank you so much Audrey ❤❤
Great video!
Hair type: wavy, fine, low ish porosity, oily scalp
Goal: a conditioner that's moisturizing but doesn't weigh down my hair, a styling product with hold that isn't drying or give me buildup
Go to products: Neutrogena clarifier, head and shoulders supreme shampoo, body shop pre shampoo hair oil weekly on the ends
This video was so useful and i'm so glad you provide so much info!
hair type: 1a - 2a, thinnish
scalp type: oily but used to be really dry like a year ago
concerns: my scalp gets oily so fast
goals: long and healthy hair, go longer between washes
I’m a 3a and I find if I want to straighten my hair I need silicones but if I want it curly I use a completely natural shampoo. I wash my hair every 5-6 days and that works best for me
Hair Type: 2a-2b.
Hair Thickness: Fine
Scalp Type: Oily.
Concerns: Mild heat damage, split ends, breakage.
Goals: My goals are to use heat regularly without much damage, grow it about 5 inches and to not have it so dull, and have it be super shiny!

Wow, your videos and explanation are next level & professional
i have recently been experiencing very oily hair , and have been having a little bit of flakiness, do you have any recommendations for this !!
If ur hair is usually not as oily and suddenly it becomes oily then maybe u are stressed and ur cortisol level is high … u should check this
thank you for the advice ☺️
@@AudreyVictoria thank you so much ☺️

Hair type:
Dry/course. Wavy/curly a little bit! Very short! I think my hair is either 2b/2c. Hair goals:

I don’t even have straight hair, but I still watch these videos because of how nice Audrey is💗
Hair type: 4a,3c some 2a and 2b
Scalp: very dry,
Hair dry
Goal: longer hair and healthy
My hair type and goals if anyone has similar hair with recommendations
1c - 1b, dry-ish (i think??), thin
Goals: no dandruff, shiny, longer, healthier in general, no frizz
If u have oily hair it naturally looks shiny and can wash it everyday or so
If you had to choose between the kerastase hair oil, Olaplex oil or morocconoil oil, which would you choose?
Thank u so much for this video!! I've been noticing split ends/dry ends lately and I didn't know where to start 🥺
this also happened with me after sm years of having healthy and long hair. best thing you can do is cut and start moisturizing esp ends (I use a store bought oil during the first 2 days as to reduce frizz and will use olive oil a few times a week for ends during winter as weather is super cold). sleeping in a braid really helps as well, I slept w hair loose the other day and got a split end when I woke up but I just had to cut it lol. so the ☆key to avoiding split ends is moisture!☆
Hair type : between 1c and 1d

Awesome video as always Audrey!
Dove is my go to! Always make my hair super silky, i have super straight hair naturally and i cannot hold a curl.
