Probably was the original door at that wall, they think back in the old days how to build things, where the doors are now the snow fall from the roof and will block the door and need to shuffel the snow. The roof was made from wood shingels so the steel roof is from when they build it on the farm Also in old times the cabin was open to people to stay for nights, but nowdays days it's not, so you would not expect see somone undan in the cabin.
