- This is how to remove SIM card from the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This easy to follow video tutorial will demonstrate how to insert SIM card iPhone 12 Pro Max and then how to take the SIM card out of the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Things you will need: a Nano-SIM card from your smartphone carier, the SIM ejection tool which can be found inside your iPhone box. If you lost the sim card ejection tool, you can use a paperclip or earring. Don't use anything sharp.

Probably the best information here is that you really have to push the ejection tool in quite hard to get the tray to eject. Thank You.

The sim tray on my 12 Mini bent TWO paper clips. I used the mechanism that came with the box and I was almost afraid it was stuck but it eventually popped out.

Weird question, does the sim tool feel smooth on the edges or is it kinda sharp? Lost mine at home, found one and not sure if it belongs to this iPhone.

Yeah as long as it is a nano SIM card it should work. If not contact your carrier and the can make the switch.

Thanks so much this was really usefull I recentely dropped my phone not to long ago. And I was scared cuz. I tried to do something dumb I tried to do it with a led pencil but a piece of led got stuck and I can’t take it out. I was still able to take out the sim but I’m a little concern what should I do to take it out. Or should I just leave it the way it is will it harm my device?
I mean it’s up to you if you want to take it out. If it was me, I would just leave it but I’m not sure if it can cause any harm, I just assume it won’t. You can take it to apple or any repair shop to see if they can remove it.

My iPhone 12 pro doesn’t have a hole to remove the SIM card slot, but it works just fine. I wonder if T-Mobile uses SIM cards.
Could be that your carrier doesn't use SIM cards.

I can't get the sim into the new phone - does it need a bit of force? Or is there a right way round to insert it? I also have muddled up the old sim card holder with the new and they are different sizes. Help....!please

the insertion is universal is there the sim it inserts like this also for the Italian iPhones?

How about going to other countries? Others have suggested getting a SIM card there to use wifi etc.
Not sure what you mean? You don’t need a SIM for wifi. It’s for a cellular network connection and LTE/5G connection. If your iPhone is unlocked then you can go to another country and use a compatible SIM card.

Not sure but it’s the same SIM card.
Would a Sim card from foreign country can fit in the slot as nice as shown.

Not sure how it works in the US. Here if it’s locked to one carrier it would not work unless the phone was unlocked to all carriers.

I have and do. Apples support pages list it in a different order but I have had no issues. So do what makes you feel most comfortable I guess.
My iPhone 12Pro Max has what looks like a 5G sim card in it. So I'm assuming that in order for me to use the SIM card, I will be losing the 5G performance, correct?
