Constantine Isslamow I'm addicted to 80's bass lines. I also like the Billy Idol "Eyes Without A Face" version you did. I played bass guitar in the late 80's to early 90's. The first bass line I learnt was U2's "With Or Without You". If I remember rightly it only has 4 notes throughout the whole song. Simple but beautiful. Love "The Stranglers - Golden Brown" bass line as well, even though it is a Double Bass and not a Bass Guitar.

awesome and seemingly effortless....I owned an 1986 XP-2 Bass and truly loved it.....the EMG's sounded like nothing else. I got rid of it when the bridge starting falling apart....I had to replace the claws (common) and who knows what else...I miss it!
Replaced a couple of claws also, I'm having a hell of time tuning it, the D string is so tight to turn, I love the speed on the neck and yes those EMG's are incredible.
