Thanks for the video. I just started playing last week. I made a lootfilter, but I don't hide all the magics. I find that soms magic items have rare high tier mod, like hybrid life or shared damage, which I value for my minion build. I alway like to break them down for crafting materials. Or am I doing something stupid?😅

Amazing video - but one thing to bear in mind is that when using the Rune of Ascendance the item needs to have at least 1 Forging Potential to use the rune. Just in case people run into that little block. Ty for the info!
Top notch video! Great overview! Simple and straight forward tips like "buy this item always, u need it, it's good for you" or "don't engage with this mechanic because it's not worth the gold" are tremendously helpful to new players.
If you are going to hide blue items as a new player make sure to add another rule to show items that have affixes you care about. So say you are big sword warrior. You care about physical damage. You want blue items with physical damage boosts to show up. This is especially important with the rune of shattering. Starting out you aren't going to have a giant stockpile of everything and offensive stat shards drop much less often than defensive stat shards. So you want those blues with your select offensive stats to show up so you can shatter for more of them.
Ya., he didn't show how to say....hide all blue items, except for X then go ahead and show it . Also I'm afraid hide this or that will hide idols, so it's quite confusing.
To add on to tip #10. You can use runes of discovery to fill up empty slots to break down for shards. Can also use the glyph of chaos on mods you dont care for and potentially get some rare ones!
I did discover ONE valid use for the gambler. Sometimes you just really want a relic with specific passive buffs at the top of the item description. I was playing a Sentinal recently that was just a teensy bit too many hungry so I bought the relic that adds mana and reduces mana costs, allowing me to ignore certain parts of skills tree I wasn't otherwise interested in for a long time. I wore that relic for almost 40 lvls.
I'm just about to start a practice run in LE after 3 months playing Grim Dawn (finally found a game where I can make a more than decent Retaliation build!) so I can use a reminder on basics.
Good info about the rune of ascendance. I was hoarding them and was unsure what I should use it on and didn't want to waste it. The hardest thing I feel in this game when leveling is knowing what is a good item and should you invest in it or just wait a bit for a better drop.
I hoarded them until now as well (lvl 40 now)... so if I use them now, I get a unique with lvl40, right? So the stats will be a lot lower than if I ascend it at lvl70, no? such a unique useful while leveling, can you "update" it at lvl70 somehow?
@@dabrainCH It can literally ascend to any non boss specific unique that is the same base type (shield, helm, ring...). So you can get anything, from a starter unique that would drop in the first chapter to something that may normally drop deep into maps even if you can't equip it yet. The harder to get uniques remain harder to get; the individual uniques that can role are weighted differently, but it has nothing to do with player level. So if you are looking for a specific unique start slamming them into base types now; the runes don't get any better later on.
Love your content my man. Thanks for all the help with the builds and tips. Love your energy and wish you all the best. I'll make sure to tune in to your stream on release!
Nice tips! I have played VERY little compared to you, but there are a few things I would say: 1. Experiment with skills. Yes you have to level up a skill when you swap one out, but they level so fast and the farther you get the more minimum points you get. Nothing replaces experimentation for figuring out how things work. 2. When you hit level 20, you will be able to specialize. TAKE SOME TIME TO DECIDE. This is the one decision in the whole game that you can't take back. Everything else can be switched out or reset. Your specialization cannot. 3. Don't forget that even after you specialize, the other passive specialization trees are still open to you. You are just capped as to how far you can go. Some of the very best passives will be in the other specializations.
Interesting things to share, I agree with the list. @1:10 Although the gambler is good to purchase a better *BASE* item type when leveling. That is if your on SSF, or early in the cycle when you have no gear to use. The Gambler will always have your level's equivalent base types, so better stats and *Implicits*
Early base items but only if its a base item ya want but affix's are random. better later to get a normal rarity and add just the affix's ya want manually? normall base items at lvl 1 arnt that good as others later on.
I haven't played in a while. This was a great overview of mechanics to get me up to date. I guess ill have to play a bit before the 21st to warm up a little :D Great video!
I just land on this video via Twitter (I didn't even followed you, but now I do). Excellent content, I am a veteran in ARPGs, top 100 monk on D3. Looks like I already got my "always watch" youtuber for LE lol. Keep the great work!!
You don't even need the key to skip that boss, you can just not finish that act. You gain access to endgame content as early as you gain access to your mastery, which is around level 25. Done. The only other thing you could want to do is finish getting your idol slots and passive points, which you can complete around 45 before that boss.
Cool video. With 200 hours in the game I got a lot of useful info from it! I haven't played in 0.7.2 (I think) so some things may have changed, but for instance I never used to run out of runes of shattering and I used them all the time. I also didn't know the Ascendancy rune didn't take into account item base or ilvl, that's pretty wild. Didn't know you could skip Lagon though I always found that fight really easy, it is the Architect before him that sucks as a melee character which I often play as.
If I could point out a tip: Put your face cam at the bottom left side, so your "brand move", where you look up to the right and randomly point, will make a bit more sense. When you mention numbers, at least you are looking at the same screen as us, your viewers, instead of looking out of the screen 😂 I will return to your channel for more information as LE releases 1.0 and beyond. Keep up the informative work that you provide. Appreciate it 🙏🏼
gold....thats been my biggest issue at start of the game and buying runes of shattering. wouldn't it make sense to not have a loot filter on so you can see all the low level loot that way you can pick it up and sell it ?
Yeah most stuff sells for less than 100 gold, not really worth the time when you can pick up piles of gold from mobs as you clear automatically. The gold drops get much higher as you level up. I was thinking the same thing in my first couple hours but after my second day, I'm seeing piles of 100+ gold constantly.
End of the day, beyond the very start (maybe first half hour) it's not time efficient to bother with things below rare. Even rare is personal preference.
You neeeeeeed so many stashslots in endgame for crafting which costs insane amount of gold. So sidequests are actually a quick way to get some easy gold, so I always run though them fast.
I wish you could use a rune of ascendance in a very particular way to have a small chance to turn into a boss only drop unique. Like, if you were able to use it on a drop from the boss for a small small chance to transform it into that specific boss drop of that type.
That was the first time I died.
