I still find it so funny that Oliver is the most redeemable member of the senate because while he absolutely was a dirt bag, all his crimes began and ended with insanity and vanity. He had no evil aspirations like Lekain did, Oliver sided with what his delusions believe to be beautiful and that is what directs his entire moral compass. And that’s just so funny to me, he doesn’t even think about good or evil all he thinks about is beauty and ugliness
in a game of political intrigue, warring factions and opposing ideals, Oliver is ironically one of the most honest and straightforward characters. Path of Radiance is hands down my favourite fire emblem and i've played it through a lot of times, but I never liked Radiant Dawn that much and found it a little dissapointing in comparision. I had some mixed feelings about Radiant Dawn as well. The lack of supports and weaker story disappointed me. From a gameplay perspective i thought it was great though. It did a great job on expanding some characters as well like the Black Knight and Sephiran.
Ash It's been a really long time since I played it so I don't recall much of Radiant Dawn's story but I do remember the supports being very dissapointing. I also didn't like that I felt there were too many characters in that game compared to path of radiance which I found a bit overwhelming to have so much choice. I also have some vague memory of the characters you played with not always been consistant, changing at certain points to a new group and protagonist which I found annoying. All in all a mixed bag for me, at least when I was younger, Path of Radiance has so much replayability to me though, the only thing I don't really like about it is the painfully limited number of support conversations a unit can have.
I know this is from Radiant Dawn, but I felt the urge to post this nonetheless. Ike: You! Aren't you our enemy? What are you doing here? Oliver: It's quite simple, really. Agreed. What were your favourite classes in the game? I loved both Swordmasters and Snipers, because of doing much criticals which are very well animated.
