The original of this is the track that got me into blues about 40 years ago, and this is the most faithful version I've heard since. Great stuff, blow, blow, blow!
Exactly right. Little Walter lifted various parts of Evan's Shuffle wholesale from Liggins's R&B sax hit of a few years earlier. This doesn't diminish Walter one bit; he was bold, and he was reaching for the hits of his time. Two years later he had "Juke."
What a excellent version of little walters"Evans Shuffle!!!"very nice indeed!!! I'm listening to this version again and he'll yeah I love it! Not bad at all.
Sir, just simply great!!! Would you tell me some about your setup? The harmonica you are playing and your amp I’be endlessly grateful for a brief comentary Thanks David As I said you sound neat Great and strong
Thank you Daniel. I play Hohner Marine Band harmonicas customized by Joe Filisko. For this song I played through the PA system, so no amp... just acoustic harp in this case.
@@bluesharmonicateacher thanks to you David, Appreciate the moment you kindly took to answer to me Thanks a lot and take my salute to you and Mr. Filisko. Sincerely Daniel from Mexicali Baja
I've listened to the original more than a few times and am of the opinion that, although the song is 95% TB, from 0.00-0.11, LW is lip purses the opening riff. Has anyone else got any thoughts about this?
