I have seen Kangal and Alabai where I live, and they definitely do not change my mind. Very nice dogs in general though, especially Alabai. I was going to get an Alabai before I got my Boerboel.

It almost doesn't make physical sense. Daniel also speaks about their protective aggression. My Boerboel is the only dog I have had that I have to be careful with, and mindful of, at all times when I am out and about. They love you so deeply that they will do anything in their being to protect you. Dogs love you, but Boerboels make you their life. Mine always assumes the role of 'mother' with anyone and anything she cares about, but is a nightmare for anyone or anything she doesn't.

Those are not actual boerboel they are mixed large dogs. They are big yes even bigger than some pure boerboel but they are not pure boerboel breeds.
