One factor that you left out (which was mentioned below) is the value of the PXG fitting process. When I was fitted, the PXG fitter was able to bend both lofts and lie right there in the store. No guessing based on a lie board or other approximate measuring techniques. So what is that fitting process worth - $200? $500? All for free if you purchase the PXG clubs or at worst $25 if you don't purchase. Plus the free dozen balls - that is another $35 value.
I have the PXG 317t in black. Black shafts. Used then two or three times a week for about four months. Hardly any marks at all. And absolutely love them. Best I’ve ever had.
Ya pxg seems to have figured out the black coloring better than anyone else...two seasons and there is slight wear on the bottom but hardly any on the face
I just got fit for new clubs and I went with the Callaway Apex AI 300's. I ordered them 2 degrees weaker and they're still a full club, 4 degrees, stronger than my older clubs. I am still in a transition period, but they feel great and have added distance with a tighter dispersion.
LOFTS: PXG 0317T 7i is 32*; Callaway TI Fusion 7i is 30.5*..... PXG 5i is 25*; Cally 5i is 23.5*....all at std lofts. Better comparison would be the PXG Gen7 P which is same lofts as Fusion
I kind of agree, Bobby, but.....those PXG 0317 T irons are something else. I am so desperate for a fitting for them and the black finish just looks amazing.
Excellent content. Great to see how another world might spend a lot of money. But in terms of improved performance for more cash I believe you showed, for example, that paying four times the price gets you only a few percentage points in benefit.
How about a comparison on 3wood and HL 3 wood and 5 wood…. Thinking of going hl3wood and 7 wood… 3 wood seems too far from 7 wood and 5 wood too close. Is the HL 3 wood much easier to hit than the normal 3 wood. What’s the pros and cons. I’m a mid to high handicap 95mph swing speed.
the PXGs are definitely a no brainer. I feel like their technology has been better in recent years. I am still sporting an old set of 0311 gen2s. I will be looking to get fit next spring, or this fall if a deal comes up. I am a mid handicap, so not sure weather the 0317T or the Gen7 P will win out for me.
@@bugsyboy5323 you find it silly, I don’t. I also work hard for my money just like anyone else… but to completely dismiss a club compared to a cheaper offering is not what the video is about. Anyways, have a good day my friend 👍
i just hit PXG Gen7 iron, they're even nicer feeling...double black, and an steelfiber shaft, very sexy looking, but they are around $2000 for iron set with premium shaft......
Why are PING i530s released this year never in the conversation? I tried them out with an optimized shaft and I was striping them dead straight and far. For me that is rare. 😬. They are gorgeous also. I currently game i525 …
@@JamesRobinsonGolf The sole width is nearly identical, the offset is the same, the lofts are within half a degree, etc…. The apex is a distance iron for sure unlike the 0317t. This coming from a PXG user myself. Not trashing them. I had to go for a refit to swap my 0311p’s for the T’s. 🤣
I think if I were considering changing out of my i230s, for the money I'd go Takomo or Toura at this point. If you stop to think about how much of your £2400 goes to marketing and endorsement deals when you buy the Ti Fusion for example, it about makes you sick.
PXG heavy-lol, more like a pxg commercial. Don't get me wrong, I love your channel, but lately, wow. But, I thank you for what you do and the otherwise great content
James, not the best. Wilson dynapower forged are the best irons. £600 for a great club, best value, loads of fargivness and great feeling when you hit the middle, and when you don’t you don’t get punished.

£1000 less no brainer James for the pxg the Callaway is utter madness £2k plus.good god 🤯🤯🤯
I would be choosing PXG they just appeal to me more in looks and definitely cost wise

Like you to compare those clubs, to the Corba Printed Irons.

Thanks James….have you done a similar video for best 2024 irons for high handicap golfers?
Are the TiFusion better than the Cobra Limit3d?

The Callaway tifusion irons, much like the 3D printed Cobra's, are prototypes of future golf club manufacturing, at least in irons. Expensive to make
The lofts are actually 2* weaker on the PXGs at 32 vs 30 for 7i. It’s the length that is 37” (inches).
Tacomo 101T is a no-brainer for easily 1/2 to 2/3 the cost.
I dont care about the price, I want performance
@@MXJEFF94 well unfortunately a lot of us don’t have the cash that you do or the desire to spend that kind of silly money on some clubs.

Ping g430 are all round clubs are pretty good.
I agree that if I had a choice between them both PXG . I can’t see why someone would pay a $1000. More. I am a Calloway user.
PXG Heavy because PXG is kicking every other club makers butt. Price, superb clubs, fittings and customization has them winning.
What a lot of people don’t like to hear
A local pro went for a fitting with PXG. Didn’t buy them! Stayed with Ping! What suits one doesn’t suit another. All subjective!
@@andybt3989 no there are numbers and facts. in fact. I can get u a

@@CharlotteK2008 I’ve not seen one member at our club with them. Mostly Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade and Titleist.

Yes buddy video on the channel 🙌🏼
Wilson staff cb irons
Best in market this year
the 7 irons are 32 * loft James :) the 8 irons are 36* :) cheers

You can do a free PXG fitting if you are a Veteran, not so with the Callaway.
maybe I'll need to lie and say I'm a vet

Ti fusion sounds like an oriental dish
37° for a standard 7 iron ? Does that mean my I500's are 7 degrees stronger ?
I would 100% go with the PXG! No set of irons is worth spending over $2000 dollars on!
37 degrees???
Fun vid but you've got the lofts wrong. Shaft is 37" loft 30.5
Sorry

The Mizuno 245’s are better than both
