i don't follow the legacy videos, but i love hearing the summaries of them. there's like just enough context for it to kind of make sense; it's chaotic and i love it!
I love this house!! I live in northern Arizona and it definitely looks like a house you might find in Flagstaff, but has the landscaping similar to the houses around me, a bit more south of Flagstaff and more deserty.
As someone whose parents DID cave and got me a loft bed, yes I got sick of it lol. the lack of bedside table is surprisingly annoying, plus my room was small so even though it technically saved space, the bed blocked a ton of overhead light and made the room seem tiny! the only redeeming thing was that my desk underneath was as long as the bed, but I was too young to even do homework there and enjoy the space lol
Loft bed teenager gang, best thing ever. I had rigged a bag to hang off the rails and hold bedside table things in it, also an extension cord connected to the rails so I could charge my phone up there while the phone was in the bag. + the desk below was perfect for homework, pc, eating (we didn’t eat together in my family when I had this bed), left a wonderous amount of space for literally everything else. Rather than use the entire desk, I’d slide my laptop out of the way when I needed to do homework or eat so that I could have storage drawers under one half of the desk since I didn’t need to move my chair over to that side. Since I prefer dark spaces and have extremely light sensitive eyes, I hung sheets/blankets from the rails to block the room from the desk area, blocking out the ceiling light and only letting in Window light (bed was in front of a window so I could see out of it while I sat at the desk). I would’ve turned the ceiling light off but the ceiling Fan didn’t work without the light on for some reason. This worked even better for me when we moved and the room I got put in was half the size of what I had previously. We took the rubber caps off the ends of the metal frame, cut 1 foot of the legs off, put the rubber frame caps back on and it still fit in the tiny room with the lower ceiling. Loft beds rock

Everywhere else feels cool and damp because of all the trees and water, makes me feel very not at home. Also yes Simsie, there are farms in the desert and people do build farmhouses haha. Happy to see you build something different! You did this style very well.
I LOVE this house, the outside is STUNNING ! It really changes from what you usually build ! I swear it's so great when you branch out and don't limit yourself with the packs ! But shure building for specific sims helps a lot

Desert landscaping, as long as you're not being a weirdo and trying to have a full grass lawn, IS fairly simple, but can be great. Sims doesn't really offer the amount of biodiversity an actual desert can have, but. It's okay to think outside the box for sims. You can have trees! :D
