Agree with everything said here. One of the most frustratingly offensive cinematic experiences I've ever seen. It wasn't even laughable, it was just bad, it made me think everyone involved with this movie was an idiot. The part that especially annoyed me was how incompetent messy eating Jeff was with the gun, "plenty of ammo" is not 5 bullets for 3 mfs if you're immediately going to miss twice, and then kill an innocent guy without hesitation, and then not even use it when the assailant is driving into you at point blank range, and then pretend you're cold blooded while holding the gun to another assailant, threatening to shoot but not despite her doing some damn spaghetti arm motion around the gun laughing at him, and then getting knocked out. He deserved to die. What a dumb plot, can't believe they expect us to pay for 2 more of these.
The fact that Ryan didn't shoot first, ask questions later is beyond me. He had full range, and you always wanna disarm the opposing team. Take one teammate out and throw off their surviving mates. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Have to tell you, seeing a 27+ min review from you was way too exciting to me. (I need to make some chang - short for changes)
This is an INSANELY TERRIBLY written movie. Like the least effort possible! It’s VERY clear this trilogy was planned to be low budget to make money, but WHY WHY WHY not just make it low budget AND hire someone that cares enough to write a decent script? The people behind this didn’t give a single shit about it. I guess Madelaine tried her best to do what she could with what she was given, but she’s the only one. Did AI write this?
AI is being used to "assist" writers according to people in the biz. You can't stop progress.

Its a damn shame we can’t get more than a couple good movies a year. Hollywood is an actual embarrassment at this point. Not in the way of “they ruined Star Wars”, but in the way of “these people spend millions or even billions of dollars to make movies worse than anything on TH-cam”.
It's also a damn shame Renny Harlin directed this movie too. 😒

Bruh the amount this trailer was shoved in my face on TH-cam. I had no interest in it whatsoever and I figured it would suck. I got the feeling that the leads were stock idiots, and apparently I was right.

There's an untold plot point wherein the people that don't try to call for the fridge to be repaired in the middle of the night are actually spared.

I'm not a female, so ladies correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't most makeup come off in the shower? There's a scene at night before shit hits the fan where the girlfriend is taking a shower, but for the entire movie after this point she has a full face of makeup. So either 0% of that shit came off her face in the shower, or she put on makeup right before going to bed. Either way, it was extremely noticeable throughout the movie and it was quite humorous to me 🤣
Maybe she wanted to look good for her boyfriend? Or she feels more secure with makeup? This is such a non issue
I’m a girl but I don’t use makeup. I believe it does wash up in the shower. Though I think waterproof makeup does exist.

This is a side note, but Jeff and Mia were both rather fit. You cannot eat triple burgers and bacon burgers dead late to stay in shape.
In the 2008 movie, the guy couldn't figure out how to work a shotgun. I was done.

Hey Adam, I think you should watch and review One More Shot, it's a pretty kickass action movie that came out recently. The shaky cam was a little annoying, but the entire movie is one continuous shot, they never cut to a different scene, they just follow the characters around an airport for the whole thing. Pretty impressive just from a technical point of view, and there's some really good fight scenes too.

The French film "Them" (2006) that The Strangers is based on is really good. Highly recommend it!
One thing that super bothered me was their terrible understanding of Oregon's geography... The GPS showed them on what looked like I-84 heading to Portland, then in Venus the mechanic says they need to go to Eugene for the part (about 2 hours SOUTH of Portland along I-5), and then Jeff or Ryan or dumb stupid 'guy' mentions almost getting through Baker City, which is on the FAR EASTERN side of Oregon, about 8 hours from Portland. What a stupid 'mistake' - it's like they googled "Oregon cities" and randomly picked some to mention...
*Also, if they were 3 hours east of Portland, they'd be in the high desert, NOT woods. Dumb.

Hahaha, wow. I'm an idiot. I assumed he was the top person on IMDB, next to the actress. Apparently not. They looked kinda similar so I didn't even think twice about it (clearly). My bad!
I think another reviewer made a similar mistake. The actor just doesn’t look Hispanic at all which may be the cause of the confusion. Nevertheless, I was too busy laughing throughput the review to even notice the name change.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, it was okay, not great, but decent. Most are stating pretty much the same thing, this is a retread. If the first had been done well over twenty years ago, I can see some merit in watching this, but according to most reviewers and critics, the couple in this movie are as dumb as the 'teens' in those F13th horror movies from the 80's. See what happens with part two and three, but this isn't a good start. lol

What that means is, that when part two and three are released, then hopefully it's better than this first one. Just watched it. So many poor decisions normal people would never make. And apparently walking in the woods and stepping on dry leaves doesn't make any sounds.
Plus, why did the freaking nail even go through a human hand? She slowly crawled forward, she didn't slam her hand onto some table!

A nice twist would have been if they actually did die at the beginning on the road, but didn’t realise a la Beetlejuice. And the strangers didn’t realise they were stalking lifelike apparitions. Then when the couple cottoned on, they turn the tables..
I like how they’re necking on the porch, then move inside and the boyfriend’s beard is shorter. And shortly before the jump scare outside the restaurant after they ate the turkey something something, there’s a reflection of the crew in the drivers side window.
Your content is some of my faves.. but you even seen the other 2 Strangers movies? There's some continuity...

I just got out of seeing this film. It's not great. But I didn't find it THAT awful. It's basically the same as the first film. But side note: Madelaine Petsch is one tasty burger. 🤤

God I do not think anyone liked this film. I felt it was a big nothing, but somehow I was more easy on it in that I felt it was okay, just okay, but sure, really not much happened and I get the thumbs down from most critics. I say it was just okay, I will give it another shot in next couple of movies, but I have the movie pass, so didn't pay to see it per se.
Well, there you go! You got to see a movie that may bomb, and you got to keep your money for your troubles. 🫡
