- Today's roast is a real doozy. One of the biggest big-budget disasters put on the silver screen. Zack Snyder's Justice League would eventually see the light of day but this version... this ain't it. Joss Whedon was hired on to "finish" what Snyder had started but instead went a different route. Warner Bros. decided they needed to fix the film and reshoot/re-edit and basically remake the entire Justice League movie. What we have is a Frankenstein's monster of a picture. Let's destroy The Justice League!

I must be the only person who liked this film even a little. I've seen it twice and just bought it to watch another few more times at least. I was actually glad these scenes were 4 seconds long because in the Snyder cut they were 4 mins long in slow motion with sad music, and that was too much. At least Whedon didn't subject us to Alfred showing Wonder Woman how to make tea, Seriously that happens in the Snyder Cut and it wasn't 4 seconds long.
Josstice League deserves every bit of slag you threw at it. The difference between this pathetic and embarrassing shitshow and Zack Snyder's Justice League is day and night.
They are both bad. One takes 2 hours less to watch, which gives it the win.

2017 had Justice League and The Last Jedi, talk about feeling like you got punched in the dick after leaving the theater. I don't think I've ever walked out being more letdown by two movies that I was really pumped for.

You showed it, but forgot to mention it. The mural on the wall of Aquaman, and the three Mother Boxes... It doesn't make any sense. What does Aquaman have to do with the Mother Boxes? Nothing. Not even one, let alone three.
I've watched this roast three times. Put it in the background while I work. "The scene is four seconds long." This has to be his best mockery. So funny.
The best part is I did Suicide Squad next. I think some of those scenes are legit 4 seconds long, haha. I had to come up with a different catchphrase for that one.

I'm ready for the superhero era to be over. Some of them are still really good, it's not like I hate the whole genre, GOTG3 was amazing. But it's just so over saturated. I want gross and offensive comedies to come back, I miss those.

In ZSJL Wonder Woman isn't anywhere as near objectified.
The flood scene in Justice League made no sense. With the exception of Batman they all could have escaped that flood with no problem. What do they do!? They use that awkward looking crab machine that barely gets them to the top. Why was Steppenwolf so much weaker than Superman? I don't think Joss Whedon should take much of the blame for how this edited version turned out. The source is Zack Snyder, he's the one who came up with the story.
No, this was a complete butchering job by Whedon and the studio. Of course, that 6 degrees of hate for Snyder has to make it rounds. The Snyder Cut is top tier as far as CBMs go. Deal.

I bought into the hype of Zack Snyder Justice League. Did not like it, it was long, grim, self indulgent wanking, did not like the Cyborg story, and the plot of "stop the 3 evil boxes from combining" was about on par with something like the MS-dos Doom 1 and 2 games. Also the multiple LONG alternate reality ending sequences, I didn't see why they needed to be included.
Out of morbid curiosity I later watched "Josstice League." It's much better because it's 2 hours shorter. And the infamous "CGI mustache" scenes were the only times Henry Cavil felt somewhat like Superman.

It's about crime
This movie sucks. But... I think it's FAR superior to the Snyder cut. In fact, I Blame the weaknesses of this movie on Snyder. Whedon at least made it watchable.
Yeah, beyond just being much shorter (HUGE win) Whedon tried to do some less grim, morbid, depressing stuff in the reshoots that are more appropriate for the characters in the Justice League (outside of Batman.) I actually think the CGI mustache stuff is the only time these movies came remotely close to getting the Cavil Superman right. But it was basically 3 movies deep with the horrible tone and feel of the Snyder DC films and he had to try and salvage something good out of the third one which was impossible.
That Russian family plot was so damn pointless.
Man, I forgot how bad this was. I always hated the whole "Flash being on top of WW" moment but I forgot all the ass shots and her constantly talking about Steve. But the writing for everyone else is so lame!
I remember Joss Whedon eventually spoke out regarding all the criticism for his version of the movie, but he didn't do it until MAYBE late 2020, most likely later. And all the stuff he said was so tone dear and completely missed the point on everything. And the way he talked about Gal was really insulting. The guy came off as an aragant dick!

PS - did...did they green screen the JL standing in a warehouse? Why not just use an ACTUAL warehouse! Decisions like this are why some VFX workers are moving to unionize people!
I remember that Whedon interview. It was clearly meant as the start of a redemption/comeback PR campaign for him and he came off as such an arrogant asshole that he literally hasn’t been heard from publicly again.
Wonder Woman wasn’t being objectified by the angles. The men are also shot from the same angles. The purpose of the angle is to make the viewer feel like they are looking up to the heroes. Plus, Aquaman is walking around shirtless.
Ah yes, the classic behind the ass superhero shot. Definitely heroic.
Don't like Zack Snyder either. Justice League would have been better off not being made in the first place. These characters deserve more than the shit show of a company that is WB.

Both movies are trash, the argument that one is better then the only is only valid if your comparing shit to shit, i will say one thing about the josh one the "come together" cover is wonderful, the simple fact i watched the same movie twice hoping it was better, ive been fooled not once but twice.
