There has been so many great games this international season and this game is just another example of how rugby is capturing hearts and minds all over the globe . Neither of these teams are in the top ranks, but you wouldn't know that ,watching this game . Of all the games I've watched lately , this and the Womens World cup are my favourites . I see comments saying "this puts the debate to bed about Georgia taking Italy’s place in the 6 nations" I don't think anyone should take Italys place, but there need to be another major competition where tier 2 nations can compete with tier 1 nations, excluding the world cup. Maybe something similar to the euros or something. As well it shouldn't put the debate to bed because its pushes georgia to become better to prove them selves, and italy too as we can see today beating Australia. Georgia beat Italy last year, Italy beat Samoa, Samoa beat Georgia, its good to see everyone beating each other.
Italy didn't just beat Samoa. They annihilated them. Georgia put everything into that Italy game over the summer as if it was their world cup final and they only just sealed it at the end. If the game was in Rome next week, it wouldn't be pretty for Georgia.
what makes me angry is the fact that it could been easy to achive. Yes maybe a game against Romania/Portugal/Spain is not an huge challange for a France/Anglo-Saxon/Irish side; also it will generate less money than a game against one of TRC or one of the "pacific 6". They are Kiwis through and through because it is a culture and not a race. I was wondering the same thing!! That is the worst call I have seen in Rugby ever! Insane. The player was on an unobstructed path to the try line - having good opportunity to score. And besides the Georgian player making contact after the ball left his foot - he made no attempt to wrap the player & showed purposeful intent in his movement. Just pushing him - clearly showing he was trying to disrupt the try!!

The Redcard wasnt warranted for the purported late tackle on the Georgian centre when he had plain and simply coughed up the ball before the committed defender snapped him in half.....Bad decision Ref. A penalty or a yellow card at worse. The tackler was committed to the tackle...It is too bad that the player had falconed the ball. We need more Objective Referees from the South Pacific region. I knew people were getting ahead of themselves after Georgia beat Italy at home as if better teams don't lose to weaker ones away on the odd occasion. Italy destroyed this Samoa side last week and just beat an Australian side which held France to a point in Paris. If they were playing Georgia next week, it would be a bigger hammering than the last time Georgia came to Italy.
