Let's put this into perspective, Samoa came into the London Sevens ravaged by injuries, they had to fly in four new players from all parts of the globe and to make things worse, they lost their two halfbacks. With the pressure of Olympic qualification, they came oh so close to getting that automatic spot which eventually went to Australia. But to bounce back from the disappointment of losing narrowly to Argentina in the cup semis and beating series winner New Zealand in the bronze medal game in the way they did in the final minute, i couldn't be prouder. Great finish to the series and we'll see them back for the Oceania Sevens for another crack at qualifying for Paris Olympics 2024. Congrats also to Va'a Apelu Maliko for taking out the series top tryscorer (50) and Impact Player of the Series, well deserved. Should be World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year.

New Zealand players have been frequently coming out of the rucks and tackles standing deliberately on the wrong side or between rucks and the halfback either to dustrupt or delay play.
#15 for Samoa actively trips #5 of New Zealand @ 17:30 clear as day and neither official catches it; penalty to NZ and they probably win...matches at this level shouldn't be decided on a missed penalty on the pitch.

The Blacks have a knack of holding back the opponents after set pieces which are not detected by match officials.
That is the NZ tactics around the ruck area. It's deliberate foul play to delay the defender. Having the taste of their own medicine.
