This is so sad. If Harry had just been a kid growing up with no fame, he could have figured out a lot of things easier on his own. I know with my own kids. They had a really hard time dealing with the teenage crap most people growing up go through. Harry and the rest went straight into the 🔥 fire. I know Liam had a really hard time with drinking, Zayn left cause he probably had too much, too. Louis was lost after the split of the band. Fans in no way knew what the were doing. If you look back at the questions these boys & other young stars have been asked in interviews it’s sickening & shocking. How adults could sensationalize & treat Harry as they did is disturbing bc you know they would never allow that to happen to their kids. What’s even worse is that this sexualization of young stars isn’t new & hasn’t improved. The only positive change I’ve seen in recent years is that there have been a few ppl stand up, call out, & refuse this behavior by being bold enough to tell the interviewer if questions are inappropriate. That’s not easy to do! It could cause backlash or change opportunities. Hopefully tho, it will continue so the respect deserved is given & we can progressively fight against this type of culture in the entertainment industry.

In the not too distant past the kind of comments I mentioned wouldn't have raised an eyebrow unless you said them to the child's mother or grandmother. There is a line I think, you can say someone unmarried is cute but they are essentially in their job to make music you enjoy or movies etc, not to be privy to people's constant lusting over what great eye candy they make. The FANS did NOT do this - this was the “story” put out by Harry’s promotional team so the media would have something to focus on that was deemed “newsworthy”. All the boys were pigeon-holed into a particular personality “type”. In Harry’s case, it was shameful.

You'd be shocked to know how many child actors/entertainers this happened to before they became "legal" (which is a disturbing word in itself, because ages 18-25 are like baby adults because their brains are still developing). It didn’t happen when they turned eighteen, Harry started when he was 17, in November 2011 after they signed their contracts with Simon in January 2011 when he began dating Caroline Flack who was 31. Management didn’t have anything to do with that that was Harry all by himself. He pursued her, per interviews and accounts from the other guys. And there is an interview with Harry and Niall with an American radio station where they talk about all of Niall’s women. Teenage boys sexualize themselves quite naturally on their own. Everyone of them were of age and old enough to be handed a weapon to fight for their country. They were not children nor were they stupid little, mindless puppets like people for some reason love to make them out to be. They deserve to be given way more credit than that. smh

The celeb world has become so sexualised that it has become normal. The Sun newspaper did a countdown to Emma Watson’s 16th birthday, artists like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez etc. are sexualised in the media when they’re in their teens. Part of me wasn’t surprised that it happened to Harry too. I remember a journalist speaking to Scarlett Johansson about the time she filmed scenes in a skin suit, and he asked her if she was naked under there. Can you imagine if you asked a work colleague if they are wearing underwear? You’d be fired! Yet people treat celebrities like they’re something we own and thus nothing should be off limits.
