Canada. May I just say that I wasn’t a “Captain Jack Sparrow Fan” as I’ve heard AH mention. I hadn’t seen any of the Pirates movies; I had some older Johnny Depp favourite movies of mine but when this whole court case started I wasn’t a die hard Depp fan. I didn’t know who Amber Heard was and I definitely didn’t have a side. I can say unequivocally that I’m a die hard Johnny fan now; I was always some kind of fan of the actor but I’m completely amazed by the man. It’s not a politically motivated opinion or conclusion it’s just the feeling I had in the pit of my stomach. I can agree that we’re all flawed but his flaws didn’t involve cruelty and gaslighting and manipulation and deception. And I’m completely supportive of women; I sat and watch Christine Blassey-Ford testify and I believed in my heart that she was telling the truth. And that she was a victim. Well I believe in my heart that Johnny was telling the truth and I believe that he was victimized. We’re so quick to preach about inclusivity for everyone and it’s important but it’s also important to remember that being white, male and straight does not shield you from being targeted or being victimized.

It's heart-breaking listening to him and knowing what he's endured throughout his life, and he never complains about it, he simply keeps going forward as best he can, and he's inspiring. He's a unique human being who's deep and thoughtful, who's kindness and generosity is endless, and he's like no one else we'll probably ever experience in our lifetimes. He's a victim, he's a survivor, and maybe now he can simply be and find better things to come. He deserves that much.
Only two hard core empaths have made it to the silver screen. Johnny Depp and Robin Williams. Both radiate something that is awfully hard to find in this world and you can see it by how much they are being loved and how people care for them. It's funny how he said he didn't want to be the product, but then he did become the product, again. His roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Harry Potter franchise. Those were products and he was defined by them. If he wasn't the product, why would being cancelled be such a big deal? He could have walked away and not cared. He could have just disappeared. He got sucked in and started caring about what he was doing, and when he lost those roles on those major movies, it really hurt.

I always loved Johnny as an actor, but now I learned to love him as a beautiful human being. No one is perfect, but he carries his ups and downs with a humbleness that is admirable. Watching him on the stand, telling the truth, no matter how painful and horrible it was, and seeing different videos where he goes to hospitals dressed as Captain Jack, and hearing how other actors talked positively about him, I fell in love. I met him in '83 in a small club in LA. He was playing in his band, the Kids. My (now ex) was also a guitar player and during the band breaks he sat with us. We were in the process of moving to LA and we talked about so many things we had in common. He mentioned he was struggling, trying to get more work. My husband gave him some advice, Stay in LA, there's more opportunity here. He was as kind and soft-spoken then as he is now.
I believed for several years that I was nothing, a loser. My first husband would beat me daily and say i was ugly, if it wasn't for him I would be a bag lady. I never thought I was worthy of existing , a mere 18 years young at the time. I was ready to leave my husband by 2001 because I completed my apprenticeship in pipefitting to help me become self sufficient and makie equal to my husband. I stopped loving him years ago but I guess you can say I had stopped loving myself before we ever met. I was ripe for picking when we met when I was 14. I remarried to the most wonderful man, never had I ever been treated so kindly love and respect. My first adult relationship. We did so much together even worked together in the pipefitting trade. I loved my honeybear and we had so much fun. He passed away from cancer 7 months ago, I truly miss him but thankful for the time we spent together.
I hear you, like you my first marriage was just after my 17th birthday, by the time I was 23 I was half the person I use to be, I was given the chance to get away and start my life all over again, i retrained into a new career and while on a training course I met my 2nd husband who to this day treats me as a Lady, we have been together since we both turned 24, We are now 59, he turned my life around and let me know I was worthy of the air I breath everyday, if not for him I would not be here today because I was ready to end everything.

"Money doesn't change people, it reveals them," is one of the most spot on things I've heard in my life. In the event I win the lottery, I imagine myself not being terribly different, and it doesn't bother me when I buy a ticket and don't win because I don't NEED that money like some people think they do to be complete somehow. I already had major respect for Johnny for his hospital visits, now that one saying gained me more respect for him. (When I turned 50, it wasn't a huge deal for me either, further, and that was 4 years ago already)

Johnny had been a close friend of mine for many years. Since we were kids. He's always been the same person and will never change, regardless of how much money he gets. He has always remained in contact. Very humble guy, ALWAYS ready to help others. Proud of him.

What an incredibly honest heart that he has revealed. He is a down to earth, take me as I am, never trying to be someone fake. My thought was, oh another Hollyweird divorce is on the rocks now. A few days later he commented that it looked like Johnny was the injured party. ANd later, Johnny had won his case. A few months later, I started to get posts on my facebook page with clips from this trial. So, I watched it. From start to finish, no interruptions. I did not look at anything else during the trial just like the judge told the jury. It was not long before I was hooked. From almost the start I saw evidence that proved Johnny's case. SO, now, I am obsessed about Johnny Depp. I have watched a good many of his movies. I liked the Captain Jack Sparrow, even though I couldn't keep track of all the other characters, I am not a pirate movie fan. But, I could see how Johnny developed this character and how so many people love him. For now, it seems like Johnny Depp is happy and is at peace with himself. I hope he finds true love and grows very old with her and they live a happy life together.

Canada. May I just say that I wasn’t a “Captain Jack Sparrow Fan” as I’ve heard AH mention. I hadn’t seen any of the Pirates movies; I had some older Johnny Depp favourite movies of mine but when this whole court case started I wasn’t a die hard Depp fan. I didn’t know who Amber Heard was and I definitely didn’t have a side.
I can say unequivocally that I’m a die hard Johnny fan now; I was always some kind of fan of the actor but I’m completely amazed by the man. It’s not a politically motivated opinion or conclusion it’s just the feeling I had in the pit of my stomach. I can agree that we’re all flawed but his flaws didn’t involve cruelty and gaslighting and manipulation and deception. And I’m completely supportive of women; I sat and watch Christine Blassey-Ford testify and I believed in my heart that she was telling the truth. And that she was a victim. Well I believe in my heart that Johnny was telling the truth and I believe that he was victimized. We’re so quick to preach about inclusivity for everyone and it’s important but it’s also important to remember that being white, male and straight does not shield you from being targeted or being victimized.

It's heart-breaking listening to him and knowing what he's endured throughout his life, and he never complains about it, he simply keeps going forward as best he can, and he's inspiring. He's a unique human being who's deep and thoughtful, who's kindness and generosity is endless, and he's like no one else we'll probably ever experience in our lifetimes. He's a victim, he's a survivor, and maybe now he can simply be and find better things to come. He deserves that much.
Only two hard core empaths have made it to the silver screen. Johnny Depp and Robin Williams. Both radiate something that is awfully hard to find in this world and you can see it by how much they are being loved and how people care for them. There's a lot of very successful artists who are truly loved by the public but these two stand out for their extremely humane character imo.

His roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Harry Potter franchise. Those were products and he was defined by them. I can honestly say that Johnny depp is a man that truly fascinates me. I love how humble he is and true to himself but above all the countless people that he makes smile purely for just being there. He has proved to us all beyond any reasonable doubt that honesty is worth more than any amount of money, and I'm very proud to say that I've lived in the same era as him to witness all of his greatness. I met him in '83 in a small club in LA. He was playing in his band, the Kids. My (now ex) was also a guitar player and during the band breaks he sat with us. We were in the process of moving to LA and we talked about so many things we had in common. He mentioned he was struggling, trying to get more work. My husband gave him some advice, Stay in LA, there's more opportunity here. He was as kind and soft-spoken then as he is now.
I believed for several years that I was nothing, a loser. My first husband would beat me daily and say i was ugly, if it wasn't for him I would be a bag lady. I never thought I was worthy of existing , a mere 18 years young at the time.
I was ready to leave my husband by 2001 because I completed my apprenticeship in pipefitting to help me become self sufficient and makie equal to my husband. I stopped loving him years ago but I guess you can say I had stopped loving myself before we ever met. I was ripe for picking when we met when I was 14.
I remarried to the most wonderful man, never had I ever been treated so kindly love and respect. My first adult relationship. We did so much together even worked together in the pipefitting trade. I loved my honeybear and we had so much fun. He passed away from cancer 7 months ago, I truly miss him but thankful for the time we spent together.

I hear you, like you my first marriage was just after my 17th birthday, by the time I was 23 I was half the person I use to be, I was given the chance to get away and start my life all over again, i retrained into a new career and while on a training course I met my 2nd husband who to this day treats me as a Lady, we have been together since we both turned 24, We are now 59, he turned my life around and let me know I was worthy of the air I breath everyday, if not for him I would not be here today because I was ready to end everything.

"Money doesn't change people, it reveals them," is one of the most spot on things I've heard in my life. In the event I win the lottery, I imagine myself not being terribly different, and it doesn't bother me when I buy a ticket and don't win because I don't NEED that money like some people think they do to be complete somehow. I already had major respect for Johnny for his hospital visits, now that one saying gained me more respect for him. (When I turned 50, it wasn't a huge deal for me either, further, and that was 4 years ago already)

I’ve seen the question many of times .. “what celebrity would you like to meet and have a conversation with” I never had an answer because sure there are some that I do admire the person they are but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter they are just people. Now I’ve changed my mind. I would love to have a conversation or two with Johnny Depp. I truly hope this episode in his life has not left him damaged, he has so much to give .. to give to his career, other people, his kids, and himself. There are things Ive been through in life that make me totally relate to him. Much love and respect to Johnny ❤️
This 'episode' as you call it was brought about by him suing someone, so if he didn't want to be damaged he should have chosen to 'wash his dirty linen' in private. They were both as bad as one another and both were shown to be disgusting and childish manipulators they deserved each other.
I truly believe Johnny Depp is who he appears to be. If you've been damaged you know that so has most of the world. And if you are a good person trying to do better then you want to make people, people you don't even know, you want to touch them with a smile on their face. JD is that kind of a good man.

@@johnnydeppp5552 I was not a fan of Johnny Depp before the trial. My son came into the room one day and said Johnny was on trial with his x wife and it did not look good for him. My thought was, oh another Hollyweird divorce is on the rocks now. A few days later he commented that it looked like Johnny was the injured party. ANd later, Johnny had won his case. A few months later, I started to get posts on my facebook page with clips from this trial. So, I watched it. From start to finish, no interruptions. I did not look at anything else during the trial just like the judge told the jury. It was not long before I was hooked. From almost the start I saw evidence that proved Johnny's case. SO, now, I am obsessed about Johnny Depp. I have watched a good many of his movies. I liked the Captain Jack Sparrow, even though I couldn't keep track of all the other characters, I am not a pirate movie fan. But, I could see how Johnny developed this character and how so many people love him. For now, it seems like Johnny Depp is happy and is at peace with himself. I hope he finds true love and grows very old with her and they live a happy life together.

The realness, what more can I say? He said it without a thought of if he should or not. it came naturally.

"The parents are slowly dying..." God, I feel this. My daughter has had health issues since she was born. RSV with pneumonia at 6 weeks old, diagnosed Type 1 diabetic right after her 7th birthday, and last year had neuroinvasive West Nile Virus. Each hospitalization has taught me how strong she is, and myself too, but this quote just hit me! Each health crisis makes me feel like I die a little more.
