Apparently the listing for the 3D files needed for this mouse is removed by the seller. I am still waiting for his response but will update on this soon (if he responds).
The designer/seller said that he wanted to update the files but faced problems because of the small form factor. The files can now only be found on thingiverse (for free!).
@@velqt for the orochi PCB there is only one mod I’m aware of, and its the PMM CBR modkit. Haven’t found any printable files to make my own shell sadly.
Would be a fun possible thesis within additive manufacturing and topology optimization, to develop a light-weight gaming mouse. (I'm taking an MSc in Product Development and Manufacturing.) Seeing how light a mouse one could possible produce while maintaining structural soundness, using some of the more "fancy" 3D printers available. I BUILT THE MOUSE!, thank you so much for making this video, i love my new mouse, as it is super light, fits my hands perfectly (they are tiny) and tracks great. I used the mouse to click comment lol
Actually not anymore! I have a couple of mice with the TTC Gold 80M and I really like them. And also Kailh’s quality has gone downhill recently so my current favorite is the huano blue shell pink dots 😊
Thanks! It is holding up pretty nicely, I have switched the shell and buttons to the honeycomb style and the sidebuttons work nicely now as well. For the settings I used 0,2mm layer height and 20% infill ratio if I remember correctly. Most importantly be generous with the supports. If you have more questions I suggest hitting up the designer amotoma on twitter! He’s a really helpful guy!
Yeah sadly the files used in this vid are not available anymore, but the maker has a different version (solid shel, non rechargeable) for free on: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4084764 Apparently he was unsatisfied with the files on etsy and decided to take them off. Thanks for the love!
what the heck. You literally 3d printed this, 276 views (time i'm posting,) and literally 37 subscribers?? wHET? THATS GOTTA CHANGE. you should make more of those and sell those on ebay
@@jerrorr Well, if you ever wanted one, I would order it right now, because they're getting discounted for the moment. If you buy them later, it would cost more.
I would like to do a g305 mod to finalmouse with rechargeable usb c connection do you know where i can find files for that or someone who sells them? Or viper mini with usb c.
You mean 3d printing a starlight style shell and having g305 electronics with usb-c? I havent seen any usb-c on 3d printed mice sadly. This UL2 style shell with micro-usb is the closest. I thought about doing a viper mini wireless mod but Razer will propably release a more reasonably priced viper mini wireless in the summer.
Hi! I used the Modkit from enncoo, which came with all you need to convert it to rechargeable mouse. Unfortunately the delivery times from enncoo are so bad these days that I can't recommend ordering from them. If you use the files from Amotoma you can choose the files with a battery holder for a rechargeable AAA-battery with an USB-port. Those things have the necessary circuitry built in within the battery. Other option is to use the coin shell battery version.
@@acidiconionas6207 Piranha mouse mods sells mice with a rechargeable AAA battery and with enncoo modkits and at least on the listing it seems that the version with rechargeable AAA weights around 3g more.
Thanks for the comment! I printed this in the orientation the files were originally set. The angle was propably around 45 degrees. I used 20% infill and 0,2mm layer height for the settings, and use appropriate supports all around. I’m a 3D printing noob so if you have more questions I’d suggest asking from the designer Amotoma on twitter. His twitter handle is @amotoma2.
I actually used kinda bad ones because I was limited to max 4h of printing time per day because I printed it at my local library 😂 you should slice it so it has supports all around. You don’t want to print anything on empty surface. Try to add supports in overhangs over 40 degrees and see how it looks in your slicer software preview.
No longer worth the time, effort and cost for this with the amount of wireless ultralights to choose from now. Maybe 1-2 years ago when mice of this category barely existed.
Well that totally depends on how much you value making things by yourself. But yeah if you are just looking for a small lightweight mouse and don't like tinkering around there is a lot of good options available nowadays.
On this particular design the hump is basically nonexistent but there are really good designs out there with better shapes for claw with a Kardashian-like humps, like Cryomods Fractal for example.
