    My brain is just blown away. This is really, really impressive. You got me into PC gaming from that gaming setup video from the BF4 days and now maybe 3D printing is the next step. Just gotta figure out how to design stuff because I don't ever draw anything.

      3D modeling is much more intuitive than you think. Most important part is getting your dimensions right!

      @Xeder-uy3vf ปีที่แล้ว

      For practical models, i myself and most people use CAD software, such as Fusion360(wich is basically free for consumers). It is quite simple and just consists of you drawing 2d profiles and then extruding them into 3d. It can be tricky to get into but very rewarding at the same time, plus, there are great beginner tutorials. 3d printing can be very easy if you have a little bit of patience and trust me, its worth it. Good luck!!

      FreeCAD is open source and follows paradigm of Solidworks and F360. Better yet, it is not cloud based or controlled by AutoDesk which changes with the wind to get Xmas bonuses for CFO's/Shareholders.

    Looks sweet, not into 3d printing myself (maybe one day) but do build a fair bit in steel and wood and the satisfaction of creating something that you yourself thought up and then made from step 1 to finish is hard to beat.

      It is very cool, but the down side is that it's not good to constantly be charging your devices. It just wears the battery much faster than letting it slowly drain over time. Same goes with the phone, the battery will last much longer if you keep it off chargers constantly trickle charging.

    This was a very inspirational video!
    I've built surfaces and holders on the armrests on my chair for some of my peripherals.
    This is an everlasting ongoing project that's almost become more of a fun thing of solving it than being a finished solution, to be honest. Although it's getting better with time.
    When it comes to 3D printing I think it's easy to get hung up on using it as the complete solution rather than a part it
    I really liked the tray for the Stream Deck, phone and the card reader/USB connection.
    Since my Stream Deck has magnets built into it (for the stand that came with it) I'm planning to integrate that into the print that's going to be mounted on my chair.
    Also got some ideas for folding mounts for joystick and throttle, but this comment is already getting way too long to go into the details of that. 😅

    If you want xlr cable neatness, you can run the xlr cable inside the rode PSA1 if you have a soldering iron. Just disconnect the XLR connector, feed the cable through, reattach it. I don't know why nobody does this. The channels internally are the perfect size and the joints have plenty of strain relief on them. I did it like a decade ago and the same cable is still going strong with no issues. It works so well that it feels like this is how they were designed to be used tbh.
