    Think the cold drink was probably tamarind juice, it's a difficult taste to describe. Good video n introduction for new visitors to egypt.

    When did you visit Egypt? I was wondering if it is safe with the Israeli war going on?

      Thanks for watching, we were there recently. There are no problems in Egypt because of the war in Gaza. It’s super safe, just be careful as you would anywhere in the world

    Would you recommend getting a guide to go up Baba Zuweila it seems that this is the one place we can just jump on a Uber and do it ourselves.. What's your thoughts❓

    • @leeandlucytravel
      @leeandlucytravel  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Absolutely no need for a a guide, just get the Uber to drop you off somewhere close. Go inside and there are a couple of guys that will take you you around and explain everything…..
      They will try to extract a little more money from you but be firm and fair. It’s really something you should do while around Al Muiz, just set your prices at the beginning, there’s room for good negotiation. We paid too much to be honest

      Awesome, thank you 😊 🇬🇧 whats a fair price in Egyptian £

    • @leeandlucytravel
      @leeandlucytravel  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’d say that 100 Egyptian per person is more than fair, official entry price is actually 100 each for non Egyptians but they charged us 40, that includes the top tower also. And if you want to tip the guy something it’s up to you. Just to note Photography with mobile phone is free of charge however they try to charge. Makes £1.50gbp per person

    I was sooo overcharged in so many paces.

    I enjoyed the video, although I wouldn't like to visit this place. It really is scam-city.

    • @leeandlucytravel
      @leeandlucytravel  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think every place we’ve ever been in the world has had its variations of scams, i try to think that the people need some help and ignore that they are trying to make some money to feed their babies!! Smile and give, make a difference

      Egypt = worlds number one spot of scammers, beggars, touts, pickpockets and perverts.
      And they Lia in your face to confuse you for just a dollar.
      It seems everyone is aware of it except you.
