I saw on a clip recently of a privateer turboed his C8, 650Hp is the most he could safely get without the trans slipping . To modify the clutches it’s too early days as no parts are available , he reckons most Dsg boxes can only handle that much power , so now he is either doing gearbox torque converter mod or a Gallardo V10 conversion in his C8, am sure his videos will be posted soon
Your work speaks for itself. Being honest and informative with a little humor works best. Just keep a good balance of content (shop/street/strip). Some road course action would also be appreciated.

Dependable stuff that works to make HP with out a slipping trany, a crap load of light's, lighting up the dash or with out any breakages.
I would like to see more "b is for build" type segments. Walk us through custom performance builds, show off your craftsmanship and detailed work. Then take them out on the street and let them bald eagles fly.

Some of the parts on the Corvette may require the careful break in period that is recommended, before putting it under stress. Change oil and filter; add the transmission two liters recommended. Then give the chld the dickens. It's all about track preparation. Do that part as recommended in the manual and chances improve that things will work out. AF
You also have to take into account load on the clutch when that nitrous hits. Like he mentioned, a turbo application will allow for higher horsepower without that clutch slipping. Time will tell, but stronger clutch packs aren't a huge deal when you're spending twin turbo money already.
I believe the nitrous bottle should be mounted perpendicular to the vehicle it's in, as in front to back with the valve facing forward, but hey I'm just some guy and what I'm saying and a buck will get ya a cup of coffee lol
I am surprised that chevy doesn't make the tuning part easier for us. I mean if it wasn't for all the aftermarket changes that we have done over the years. Then they wouldn't have had as much knowledge to make the sbc last 65 years.
The behind the scenes Are great! Why not go deeper, explain where you’re at with the turbos, what kind of problems are you seeing, etc. without giving all your secrets away. Wouldn’t throwing e85 at the nitrous one help in a way?

In order to take full advantage of MoTec, do you have to unlock the OEM ECU? Or is MoTec going to be able to develop a stand alone system without having to unlock the factory computer?
I would think as a salespoint for GM, they should make the ECM codes available. All car guys want their cars to run faster and more efficient. If this can't be cracked, people are gonna start shying away from their products! Just my 2 cents.
Seriously. It's extrapolation. In other words, don't be doing this before 1,500 miles of break in; and don't be doing this before adding two liters of the transmission fluid as recommended by Chevrolet prior to any track work. Nitros Oxide is akin to track work for the stresses it can engender. AF
I think you and your team are doing a pretty good job but put on the mod explain what your doing and if you got time text it at the track and tell us what it did how it did it and so on a big tums UP to you and your team for making these videos.

Are you withholding that content at his request or has nothing been recorded? I mean, I’ll be blunt. The only reason I subscribed is to follow Mikes build. I could give a rats ass about a nitrous system that may blow up the tranny. Nitrous is for racetracks, not for the street in daily drivers. Just my opinion obviously, but I’d never put nitrous on a daily driver.
It basically already has one from the factory. The factory airbox is pretty much as good as your gonna get. If you put in an aftermarket one, you probably wouldn't see much for gains.

You have to remember is a base model. And if you notice most exotic cars don't make as much torque as this car hence the slippage.

Couldn't you potentially make a more linear application for nitrous where it gradually sprays more the longer you go?

The joys of early learning stages while filming, is it mostly filmed on a phone for now?
We usually use a GoPro hero 8 for the vlogging and a Canon Rebel t6i for the more cinematic stuff.
