People fuss about this scene not being included on DVDs but I've never even seen it before. Apparently this scene has been cut from basically every version of this episode. I think it should be on a dvd though.
She lived in my home town for a while and dated the town bank president before she became famous. They got pretty serious. She came to a party my band was playing at escorted by the bank president around 1994, I got her autograph.
I just saw her in a late 1950's horror flick the other night...IMO, she was Andy's hottest GF...Then Ellie, then Mary...Helen a very distant 4th...and last...LOL
I just learned some interesting (and sad) things about Joanna Moore, the actress in this scene (she was Peggy the county nurse, and Andy's romantic interest). Around the time this show was made, she married struggling actor Ryan O'Neal, who happened to be 10 years younger than her. And I know what you are thinking...she is Tatum's mother. However, after PEYTON PLACE made Ryan a star, he began playing around and finally left her for fellow PPer Leigh Taylor-Young. (see part 2)

@@willmorris8334 The original poster says the deleted scenes are added back to his DVD. I have the 3rd season DVD with Barney mends a broken heart and it does NOT have the scene that is showing in this YT video. I have a VHS copied from years ago that has this scene. Hope this helps.
Can anyone please verify whether this epilogue has been restored to the Season Three episode? A number of reviews on Amazon say not, not even in the complete seasons 1-8 set.
There were a couple of other pretty nurses who played on one episode each, one was named Mary in the one where Barney keeps butting in on Andy's dates with her and I don't recall the other woman's name but she was on the episode about getting Rafe Hollister refusing to get a tetanus shot.
Mary Simpson was played by Sue Ann Langdon and Julie Adams. Another of Andy's girlfriends was Sharon Despain who was his High School sweetheart, played by Peggy McCay.
seems to me that she showed who her priorities were. and its rude of that guy to come by unannounced thinking she was just sitting there waiting for company.

Wow I have never seen this part of the episode before.

I have this VHS. It's titled "Barney. The Love God". There are three episodes on it.
Oh yeah, she was a doll!
Joanna Moore sure was a pretty girl
Love Nurse Peggy. Sheriff Taylor should've married her instead of Miss Krump.

Who in their right minds could play around on her? She was such a beauty .
Still missing on Amazon Prime.

It had to have been somewhere in S03E02
Omitted, but why?
Time reason probably.
Sorry to say I would have to take Barney out if I was Andy he was a real pain in the rear end
Peggy broke a date with Andy to spend time with a guy who wasn't even gonna be there long, BIG DEAL
Andy took that just a bit too far.

He was just a Hungry Buzzard passing thru.
Common Andy!
