Japanese Style Watercolor and Ink Painting

- I took a photo of these iconic steps in West New York, NJ and it reminded me of a Hasui Kawase shin-hanga print. Months later I decided to paint it. Was a bit of a struggle painting dark. At one point the paint was darker than the ink, that’s not supposed to happen. I had to ink over everything and I did so in a thicker line to cut down on doubling the line. So it looks a bit different but I kinda like it.
