I enjoy your art w or it is Beautiful ❤
Proving that it's not the pen - Its the Person that creates Art.
Thank you so much!
Amen
Absolutely! As a photographer for years, one comment always makes me cringe (and I have to ask forgiveness for my reaction) is, “What an amazing photo. You must have a great camera.” 😂
love it
Excellent! I use them together all the time. Generally because I forget which pen has what ink in it 😅when out and about. Sometimes I simply want a majority blk/whi/grey sketch with maybe a dab of color.
Black inks tend to work like a Neutral with watercolors, makes them darker and more pronounced. Some have blue undertones so, yeah, a yellow may turn greenish.
"...Ground Control to Major Tom..." That's when I knew you knew EXACTLY what you were doing! Thanks for sharing the fun!
😅👍 perfect that you spotted it!! Thanks for that feedback!
Yasutomo ink is amazing for watercolor -- used primarily for jp/ch paintings specifically sumi-e and shuimohua, and traditional calligraphy
hello, Mr. Martin your video is so helpful. Thankyou
Hi! Thank you so much for your friendly feedback 💯🖋️👍
@@MartinLachmairArt my pleasure
This is one of my favourite techniques. It makes me work more loosely and boldly. It's kind of scary/exciting too 😃
That’s freakin’ AWESOME!!!! Stunning ! Thank you for this ! Following from southern oregon !
Ahhh.. serendipity! Some of the best art comes from happy accidents! The combination of water soluble ink and watercolours in this piece is masterful. I love your pen work, and the composition of the drawing is brilliant. Also the contrast between the crisp outlines of the buidings and the looser style of the trees. Very intrigued by your spattering technique! I have never used a dip pen and I must say I love the whole effect. Off to watch some of your other videos!
Hi, thank you so much for your friendly and motivating feedback! I appreciate that very much 🖋️👍
Great experiment! I expected a mess, but you created a wonderful piece! Many thanks.
Nice work.
Beautiful work of art!
Masterful as usual! You NEVER disappoint! I always use Waterproof Ink, but I may break out of my comfort zone sometime and give this a shot. Have a great weekend!
Thank you very much! 💯🖋️👍
Thank you Martin, beautiful!
This is really effective - I especially liked the trees.
I loved watching this. It’s nice to see that the ink does not completely disappear with water so you can retain a lot of the drawing. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much for your friendly feedback 💯🖋️👍
I loved this effect
Honestly, I enjoyed every second of this awesome video. Love your style and process how you draw.
That so great to read! Thanks for such a wonderful feedback!
This is a great idea and nicely presented! It will be a lot of fun trying this out. Certainly allows a loose approach.
This it is absolutely amazing
very nice, what a great idea. thank you , I will use it it.
A great demonstration of ink drawing. 👍 Thank you so much. ❤
A very interesting technique. And a nice little painting.
wonderful effects
What a great effect! I love it!
Thanks a lot 💯🖋️
Great idea to try, thank you. Cityscape would be interesting too!
Enjoyable to watch and listen to you Martin, I always learn something. Thanks for sharing
Great video. Inspiring indeed. Thank you sir. God bless.
Wow what an outcome! Lovely piece of art. On one hand very peaceful, but so nicely dramatic through the shadows.
Thank you so much 💯🖋️👍
I didn't know Pierce Brosnan was a watercolour artist...
😅😂👍
Thank you for experimenting with this ink for us. I have seen it on Aliexpress and wondered about it. Looks like a great ink to play with. Gorgeous 🎨 work. Bravo.
Thank you for your interesting and positive feedback! I appreciate that! 👍🖋️
Thank you so much!
Beautiful!
Thank you 🖋️👍
Great video such that I like you were experimenting on a new technique to you but it was live for us to see. Really great drawing / painting at the end, with effects so simply achieved. Ironically I watched your video because I discovered by accident last night that I had drawn with water soluble ink and then added water colour but I was really pleased with the result and will certainly use it again with more practise.
I was here, before he got big! =)
Amazing work. I like your use of this technique.
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback 💯🖋️👍
Wonderful Martin. Masterful brush control. I sometimes use water soluble pencil for my sketch. The results are similar, however your use of water soluble ink is much more dramatic. Thanks for sharing your experience! Loved the video.
I have to thank you for your positive feedback! 🖋️👍💯
So interesting the comparison is. Thank you for sharing your inks experiment with us.😊
I appreciate your feedback so much! Thanks for your friendly feedback! It helps to keep my work on! 👍💯
Love seeing you use a dip pen with the ink. I am using the same dip pen for the last 65 years (new nibs of course!). I inadvertently used a fugitive ink for an ink drawing a few months back and was actually pleased with the result. After seeing your video, I believe I will try some water soluble ink more deliberately. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot for your interesting feedback!! Keep it up 👍🖋️
Thank you for sharing. Great to watch. Enjoyed learning🙏🏻
Thank you for your friendly feedback! I appreciate that! 👍🖋️💯
This is beautiful. I am very interested in line & wash, and love watersoluble ink.
Thank you so much! 💯🖋️
My first time seeing your channel, and now about to subscribe. I love this. I have both inks, but more by accident than intention, and I’m not proficient at using either. I expect you will be using the water soluble quite a bit now - you have quite a lot of it! ☺️
Thank you! Thats great to read! Well yes there will be some more video about this soluble, half of a liter, ink 😅😅
Wow! ❤this it is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go binge more videos of yours. I'm so glad the algorithm smiled on me today. 😂
Great work I could watch you doing magic with that pen and brush all day! Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow! Thank you so much for that amazing feedback! 👍🖋️💯
This is the exact video I needed thank you new to your channel
That’s fantastic to hear! Thanks a lot for your feedback 💯👍🖋️
Somehow I liked water soluble ink more than water proof ink as it is more unpredictable . Also how the artist manipulates it also might make a lot of difference. I absolutely liked it.
Good point 👍🖋️
Very impressive results. I have tried this before but not with such good results. I can see by your example I should have done more lifting. I will try again (and probably again after that), P,S. I like the white highlights
Thank you! So keep it up and have fun! 🖋️👍💯
Wunderschöne Arbeit, liebe besonders Deine Line Art. "Wenig ist" halt doch "mehr", wenn mans drauf hat.
Vielen Dank! Ich denke aber auch mit etwas Übung würden das viele schaffen.
Bravo! 😮
Thank you! 🖋️👍
Thankyou much!
TH-cam algorithms suggested your channel to me, and I’m so glad they did.
I enjoyed your relaxed method of presentation, and I’m grateful to you for sharing this technique.
I have many bottles of non-waterproof ink that I couldn’t find a use for in my sketching… but now you have opened my eyes to their potential.
I won’t fool myself into believing that I can create a result as spectacular as yours, but I’m looking forward to experimenting with a new medium.
Consider me subscribed. 🙏🏻
What a great feedback! 💯🖋️👍 That’s motivation for me as well! Thanks for it!
Ground control to major Tom! 🤣 Love it!!!
😅😅👍 Great you spotted it!!
Greetings from Canada! 🇨🇦
💥 Extremely Interesting tutorial !
I think I’d be good at it. The trick is to lift areas that have accumulated too much water.
- I Can’t wait to try this combination. (It has a very specific look.) I don’t know how to explain the “look” yet, but I really like it.
▫️
The dance of how much water, and it’s placement is key❗️
▫️
THANKYOU very much.
Great Tutorial ‼️
Thank you so much for your very informative feedback! I really appreciate that 🖋️👍 It’s exactly like you mentioned! Greetings from austria!
Wow like your technique & style. More my liking as I am a technical artist
Thank you so much! 💯🖋️👍
Wonderful 👏👏👏👏💚
Thank you so much! 🖋️👍
Schaut richtig gut aus! Habe den Kanal heute entdeckt und sofort abonniert. Freue mich auf die Entdeckungsreise. 😊
Vielen Dank, das freut mich sehr 💯🖋️👍
First time watching. I'm learning watercolor painting. Enjoy line and wash a lot. I have dip pens, soluble and non soluble inks and a good selection of Windsor and Newton coloured inks. I think it's time to get inking. Cheers from Toronto Ontario Canada 🤗
Great to read! Enjoy and keep it up! 💯🖋️👍
새로운 스켈 좋습니다...
Hey Martin. That ink you are using is for brush calligraphy, but Asians use it widely as a painting medium as well. Cave paintings were done the same way. (burnt charcoal and water) This technique calls for some preplanning for using the permanent and soluble ink in order to keep the certain lines clean.
Thank you for your feedback! Mostly I only use waterproof ink, so in this example I wanted to show the result using only water soluble ink 👍🖋️
I LOVED this video. All the muted colors are lovely. Thank you for sharing. I'm curious why you didn't add a little blue for the sky? I ask because you seem to be in control of the whole piece, and I value what you have to say about the sky color. Do you ever do anything with the sky? This is the first video I have watched. Thanks.
Thank you a ton! 👍 Very good point! Where is the sky? Well maybe I am so obsessed about the architecture, the buildings and their mood, their stories behind all the windows,
so I wanted to avoid any distractions! maybe that’s the reason, or I have to practice painting clouds a little bit more 😅👍🖋️
You or work is unbearable you or so relaxing.❤
Thank you so much! 💯🖋️👍
Are you sure you're not Simon, one of the judges on television..?
😂😂 … 👍
What type of brush or you using❤
Hi, in this case it’s one of the red travel brush set by escoda. Synthetic brush hair
What is that pen?
Hi, it’s a dip pen. A flexible steel nib at a holder.
能看到您的作品,真是感到十分幸運,我知道了您的畫風令我十分嚮往
Thank you so much 🖋️💯👍
Has anyone ever told you that you resemble Simon?
😅 no not at all 😅👍
No, you look like Simon, what are you doing?, that was at least a month ago...
😤
Awesome!!!
Thanks a lot!
