I was just wondering yesterday, if modding the game was possible. Thanks yt recc for reading my mind.😂 I don't have the skills anyway. I'd just really love to make a SC5 fan made part 3.
The steam version of this game has a lot more problems than the Dreamcast version The video is often not in sync with the audio. Seen it in lots of gameplays of part 2. There’s also a glitch where the characters are invisible. Not sure how that is fixed.
invisible characters was an annoying one for me, i think i fixed it by deleting my save locally and on steam cloud. but i had triggered it by modifying my save... i don't know that this would work in other situations. desync is also a pain. if the game stutters even once everything loses sync.. wish whichever team ported it had caught this and fixed it.
it is able to handle dropped frames on dreamcast though.. but i guess maybe the stutters are different to just dropping a frame. audio task continues and game logic falls behind
it has many functions related to testing the game by unlocking things, displaying values, allowing you to adjust the game speed, and there are some tools i don't fully understand yet for creating files such as character formations and cameras. it would be useful to people who want to research or mod the game.

@@woofmute they updated some things in 2014 but ultimately it’s probably because of the code. If it stutters then there’s no pickup code for it

@@woofmute again, it’s probably all in the coding and the software itself since it only works on windows.
So what does the dbug menu do? and how would you use this for the game
