James was my first ever concert, Leeds Uni (maybe Poly) in 1990. I was 15. I loved it, and have since been a huge fan. They are always lyrically interesting and musically they constantly come out with beautiful melodies, but original melodies. The trumpet is great. I had to say that. Good one, trumpeter. I met Tim when he was singing records at HMV, Leeds, before the concert, for Goldmother. I was wearing a "Family Cat" t-shirt. It dawned on me years later this was likely why he signed my tape "Tim's Mother." After all, everyone else was wearing James t-shirts, and I, always trying to be different, didn't want to. Oh, my age of innocence. And yeah, Yummy is brilliant, one of their best. In what is a culture war, I find their music and lyrics non-polarizing, and I think we need more non-polarizing music. The spirit of the 60s, the MLK spirit, seems to have gone the way Hoover wanted it back then, everyone at each other's throats. James, for me, embrace wisdom, not hatred. They ain't idealogues, which is refreshing. Their music promotes love and acceptance without being angry and lecturing. Good stuff, James.
I’m beyond excited I finally get to see them live here in America in September. I’m 37 and I’ve been a huge fan since I was 12 . So grateful they are touring!
Well deserved. The album is a masterpiece.

Well deserved. Brilliant album.
Glückwunsch aus Deutschland. Schade, dass hier kaum einen Notiz von dieser Band nimmt!
Also in the Netherlands… Don’t understand why!!! James is fantastic ♥️😊
Loved these since the 90s, they were less popular than Oasis and Blur but have outlasted both amd are so musically superior
Need to buy this latest album..

Week into releasing a number 1 album they are back to writing the next one. That’s discipline for you.
