    What ratio of Iron Out to water do you use? I've got some KY geodes recently from Big Mike's Rock Shop in Cave City.

    Hi,Don't get Iron out at our place (India). Can someone tell what's the composition of Iron out..oxalic acid?

    I like your videos and I’ve learned a lot ! Back on the family farm in KY we have millions of geodes some the size of cars some the size of a baseball. I recently started experimenting with them. Cutting them with my wet saw then polishing them using my variable speed angle grinder with resin bond pads. I start with a 50 grit diamond pad and work my way up to 3000. They’re always different when you cut into one so it’s always a mystery. What do you guys use to polish your funds ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying the iron out today, is there a ratio I should know of ? Thank you.

    Cannot understand why ultrasonic cleaning units aren't being used by more people. I have one I bought very cheap on E-Bay and it works great on stone and metal items both. Use straight water or a solution containing acid . A solution of Iron out would probably clean a crystal in a matter of seconds or several minutes rather than days !

      They have a tendency to vibrate the crystals loose and they fall out 🤕...

    Does the iron out loosen the dirt stuck in the crystals?

    I have a Aura Angel Quartz Geode bonded with Titanium and it just has a little bit of dust and little black stuff from my jacket pocket you know. How would I safely clean that?? Just a little wash it needs.

    some of my better geodes had iron stains originally. pressure wash or hose it multiple times. use WARM WATER with the iron out originally, then after they sit use warm water again. it seems to also work better when closer to rhe surface where the reaction takes place

    Does anyone know if the rocks will be safe for my fish aquarium after using the iron out?

    Thanks ya'alls! I have some flint with some crystals and some dersy quartz on them. If you soak em in the iron out will it fade the color of the rest of the flint?

    Hi. My husband and I enjoyed this video. What is the mixture solution (how much Iron Out to how much water) that you recommend?

    My son got a kit from National Geographic. Do you have a video on your ways to open them? We got them open...Some well, some, not so much. I think it went well since he asked for more geodes. Thank you for your video.

    Do you have a video on opening the geodes? Myself and a couple of friends just harvested over 100 geodes in just a few hours. Now we want to open them and clean them. That one still of you opening a geode with some type of bar and chain contraption looks interesting. Do you get a clean break with it?

    • @NewbTube69
      @NewbTube69 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a wet tile saw if the geodes aren't massive. Sometimes breaking then open with brute force can ruin the geode or break it into multiple pieces, which isn't usually ideal.
