    Very informative and it's going to look great. Who would have thought to use hanging basket lining? Great idea. Looking forward to more. 😊

    The layout is coming on very well Tris. I like the wall plaster and hanging basket liner tip, I diid not know you could use them on a model railway layout, I will use them in the future. Keep up the good work Tris and I am lookoing forward to your next video and see this amazing layout finished.

    Lovely work Tris,
    Regarding the signal box - it looks more like a ground frame, virtually the same but used for switching points on the ground but still excellent stuff! Looking forward as to see it finished!

    Basket liner been around a good few years, if you want to stop the loose sponginess you can spray or brush on watered down pva, it will stiffen the surface a little

    • @OONeal
      @OONeal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, the sponginess has seemed ok. With the grass stuck to it it’s got a little stiffer but I’m quite happy with it but thank you for the advice.

    Cool use of the hanging basket liner product. Still would add dirt to the top surface though, before adding other layers of scenic material.
    On the roads, and using the poly filler; think a build up of sides would have greatly helped. That also allows for a wider ‘knife’ to be used, to better smooth out the initial surface. When poly filler settles you can also slightly moisturize the top surface with a wet sponge and even further smooth it with a spack knife. Couldn’t make out if your knife was a plastic or metal one, because of the black blade. I would prefer the metal version. Tends to produce less stick than the plastic ones. Always keep a second knife handy to scrape off the filler before you re-engage. Wetting the knife also is good practice.
    Cool 😎 little layout!!

    Lovely work Tris, can't wait for the next video. Spraying the road is a time-saver. I'm considering getting an airbrush but bit concerned about getting an appropriate mask. Could you tell me what type and make of mask you use? Cheers.

    • @OONeal
      @OONeal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope you enjoy the next one. I do the spraying with the doors open and an FFP2 Type mask. I hope that helps

    • @johnnyz3354
      @johnnyz3354 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OONeal Thanks Tris, there are so many different types of masks our there so I'll look at the FFP2 ones. I presume they are the type with detachable filters on either side. Cheers.

    Hi Tristian.
    If you're getting it ready for the 4th of June, you're too late mate as it's now June 11th.

      Hi Paul, thats very true but I've recorded it all, the cub day happened and went well. The videos however I wanted to release one a week as I do not have time to edit and get them out so quickly :)

      Hi Tristian.
      Fair enough. Incidentally, I like the Brighton Beach scenario. You should have created a full seascape with, possibly, a few surfers to add to the atmosphere. 😀
