! For anyone looking for a way to get rid of henna: I hennaed my hair around 2-3 times with lush caca rouge. after a while i wanted to go back to blond and what i did helped me a lot. first i mixed baking soda with anti dandruff shampoo and massaged that into my hair. i left it on for only about 5 minutes. I did that to open up the hair cuticle. then i heated up coconut + olive oil and washed out the shampoo+soda mixture not putting any conditioner or anything on my hair (that would close the cuticle again) then i dried my hair a bit and massaged the warm oils into my hair for a few minutes, really trying to get the oils in there, so they could pull the henna out. then i left that on my hair for 2 hours. (of course you can leave it on longer) I blow dried my covered hair every once in a while so it stays warm. after 2 hours i washed my hair with warm water and the water was actually red-ish from the henna. i did this twice and there is no henna left. it really helped me a lot cause i was afraid that i couldnt go back to blond.
i wanted to share this because maybe it will help someone else. i know how frustrating it can be.
hope it works for you. good luck!

Did you bleached ur hair or do you have natural blonde hair? I want to get rid of my henna because i want to bleach my hair and dye it purple but im afraid because of the henna and thanks for your advice i will defenitly try it out

@@yunie6861 my hair was bleached before I dyed it darker and put henna on it. Before the baking soda+oil I used color b4 once, to get rid of the artificial color. I was left with the henna (really orange hair) and then the oiling worked wonders for me. Right now I'm back at an ashy light blonde color! After I did those oiling treatments I bleached my hair twice with really low developer (Schwarzkopf Blondme 7 Volume). I used low volume cause my hair is rather thin and my roots are a dark blonde. I couldn't be happier cause I thought I have to grow it out. Try to do the oiling as often as possible before bleaching. I hope it works for you aswell!

Oil will remove it but takes time it took me months of sleeping in coconut oil and olive oil 2 times a week but it worked for me.
I’m now back using henna for last 2 years and love it but if you wanna get rid of the henna and not damage your hair it can be done it’s just a process ..

It worked for me! I had been using red henna for 7 years . I did 2 vitamin C treatments and then put a medium ash blond on my hair and it looks wonderful. My friend did put bleach on my hair after the 2 treatments and the process took 10 days total because I didn’t want to overwhelm my hair so I allowed a few days in between each step. My natural color is medium blonde.

The "hair follicle" is the pocket under your scalp that hair is anchor to and where hair is produced. I think you meant "the cuticle" which is the outer structure of the hair shaft.

Hiya.. I used lush henna twice (brun) and it was beautiful and healthy. Then I wanted to go back to blonde, 4 months later 🙄 I used hair colour remover and it does work, buuut my ends turned green. I then did a bleach bath, that worked slightly then did a bleach all over (all in a week). Ends are still slightly green. I did a 7n on my roots and might do lowlights on the green using a gold or pink so it blends nicely . Love doing my hair but faaark it's been through a lot. Been using Bondi Boost to help it get healthy and long again.. Good luck y'all xo

    • @PNWitch

Paul Mitchell shampoo 3 + hot oil treatment will remove the green- then use a toning shampoo like gemlites or keracolor klenditioner- red tones neutralize green if it’s resilient.

There's a product called 'color oops' that's really good at pulling box dye colours from the hair pretty quickly - just make sure you're doing deep conditioning hair masks after application! The colour of henna you use doesn't matter, you could definitely try this removal process if you've already dyed your hair using the henna but it takes SO LONG, I'm talking weeks and months to remove henna regardless of the colour! If you scroll down the comments on here you'll see one from Teresa Michele who said she had far better results using oil to remove henna - I think a combination of the two might speed up the process as the vitamin C treatment is very drying and the oil treatments are nourishing! Best of luck x

The henna I used was all natural with no Metallic salts so the color over too did not effect anything and my hair came out super shiny and healthy looking!
