Been playing tons of Catan this weekend. Been going well. I have a very gambler play style so I typically lose hard and win hard. Every now and then a game is very close, those are the best. Thanks for the content Red was clearly robbing you for the brick. He should have tried to ask for one for NS or NB.
I’m sorta confused why didn’t you port at 25:37? I saw that 7 from a mile away .. You normally don’t make those kind of mistakes but I’m assuming you placed a greater importance of hand diversity so they don’t pluck ore if you port it. Chances are in my book better for you if you do port because higher chance of 7ing off 6 cards for 4 turns then it is you get ore plucked. Just curious ab your thought process. Your last two 7outs could have been avoided
Tricky game. But there's partially your blame. You let blue take road. Blue who has a 3 wood and 12 brick. Meanwhile you have the best wood and the best brick on the board.
Blue settled the sheep port and then built another road same turn.. ruined his game by not road settling the 3/8. You didn't port your brick a couple times, why? You could have ported for ore twice? Devving when you needed a city.. not sure about this game
I'm genuinely curious why players don't think through their initial road placements more carefully. Black gets handed the most ridiculous OWS and squanders it with road placements that just don't make sense.
Great content as always. I don't know if it's just me but it feels like colonist has become more toxic recently. A lot of bad faith players who will block and rob because they don't like chat. Or because you block them once early in the game.
Great game. U think porting those 2brick for an ore was better than pulling a dev? You were hesitant too but i guess you wanted to pull a mono or anything but a knight. I think if you did you would’ve had the city a roll earlier and not 7’d out possibly having the road settle to 6,2. That was my thought during but that transition but I still had hope you’d win it like you always do lol have a great one and if u got time, would love to know your thoughts on what you could’ve done better and what worked well. Im trying to get better in these types of situations and who better to learn from than the best.
Ya I hope he shares his thoughts. The only argument I see is the ore being pluckable but I think you 7 out at a higher frequency then getting ur ore plucked
Yes, because blue is on 8 cards and my hope is that a 7 rolls and he loses half his hand. If I rob him on 8 cards, he can’t 7 out anymore. This is a common strategy used in tough spots.
Dandy you are not as elegant as before. You literally robbed red last turn but then you start bitc#hing around why they didn't rob blue. And it happened few times in the game when u table talk about something (pretty logical tho) or even live commenting, and then a second later do literally the opposite. Reds comms about you is absolutely right.
This is actually an incorrect assessment by you. The reason I robbed red at the last turn was because blue was on 8 cards and I didn't want to take him under in hopes that he would 7 out. This is a very common tactic in the endgame and should be considered. In that situation if I rob blue, his chances of winning potentially might be even better because his hand is preserved for another turn. Was not bitching but pointing out the fact that I did get solo blocked when blue had the win in his hand, which makes that play objectively wrong.
“I can’t believe he thinks the 6-2 is better”
A few seconds later
“Omg. That is the 3rd 2”
Lower ranked players sometimes get annoyed when one player spams the chatbox.
Often
I deal with that problem everytime I start a new account
In my experience the worst think you can do for yourself is try to talked to the other players unless you have some very good spirited people.
Yeah if someone was yelling at me what to do I would do the exact opposite lol
analysis during placement phase is super helpful and instructive. thank you

the sheep came out swinging in this one holy

Hi dandy i recently got into catan and have been binge watching your old and new videos like crazy and i have a question is your real name dandy?😅❤
His real name is drew
Drew is my name… Dandy is my game 😊

Whats nb?
Why cant I find his account on Colonist Leaderboard? any insight?

Gl dandy!
Love your videos
where can I play this game? I downloaded different versions, but this is the best looking one ive seen so far
colonist - search it up, no download needed…
Colonist.io - Have fun!
love the uploads🙏
Curious, why did u want the 11-3-6 over the 6-4-11? Black took it anyway, but wouldn't that be a better spot for your second placement?
Black obviously wants wheat and sheep so it’s out of 6-4-11 and 6-3-4 for them
Some questionable decisions in not porting several times in this game
Ya I hope he shares his thoughts. The only argument I see is the ore being pluckable but I think you 7 out at a higher frequency then getting ur ore plucked
I got a nice mono for like 11 ore today
11 ore mono FTW!
Blue wins but you also steal from red? How come? Didn’t understand that steal
Yes, because blue is on 8 cards and my hope is that a 7 rolls and he loses half his hand. If I rob him on 8 cards, he can’t 7 out anymore. This is a common strategy used in tough spots.
Got it thanks!
Players in Catan are to emotional online . Ruins the game sometimes
