The drummer is the singer you're asking about. She was an inspiration for a generation of female drummers in Japan, including Akane from Band Maid and Tamu from Nemophila. The guitarist is her little brother.
And let's not forget that the whole band was an inspiration for Hanabie. Hanabie started off as a Maximum the Hormone cover band club in high school. So, MtH is a big reason we are hearing a lot of amazing stuff from Japan recently. Ryo's experimentation with musical stylings, Dai's amazing voice, Ue's rib-shaking bass movements, and Nao just being a damned legend whether she's behind the drums or not. An amazing band. Everyone needs to hear them.
They played this video to open the concert I went to in Chicago last week - it really got everyone pumped up! And after the song "Change" when they had everyone wave something over their heads, (which they demonstrated by each taking off a sock and twirling it during the song,) Suzuka tossed hers off the side where it sailed through the air and landed ... in my hand! 😁 Luckiest night of my life! AG really can perform about anything they put their mind to! I love Mizyu's "possessed dance" she does.
I saw them in Seattle. They were clearly way too good to be in such a small club. They really blew everyone away. It looked like the girls were having a good time because the crowd was so into it.
@@mfreak1126 at the end of Shimi it's Nao. At the end of the video (credits), it's Ano (I have the CD single, it's amazing too but unfortunately there's no MV ... yet)
This is fantastic. Shimi is an older MTH track from 2007. AG fit into this collab incredibly well. MTH is pretty legandary in Japan and very influential. Hanabie started out as a MTH cover band and the drummers from Band-Maid & Nemophila were inspired by MTH's drummer, Nao (She was the last solo singer in the video) that girls could be drummers. MTH loves genre flips on a dime and it works perfectly. The visuals in this MV are phenomenal. Grungy, post apocalyptic, traditional Japanese culture, even some Japanese horror movie elements. Check out Satsui Vs Satsui, it's fire as well.
Not to forget Wakazaemon (Bass: EOE, Koiai, Marty F.). She was the Bass player for MTH franchise band COLONANAMOLEMOMO, which was her big breakout into the top tier Japan rock scene. 🦍🍌
Shimi is an older MTH song, actually from the same album as the Death Note songs. This remake added the electronic/synth elements, had AG singing Nao's parts for a couple of choruses, and turned a scream-rap section into the hip-hop section that Rin raps.
SHIMI 🔥🤘💥 Legendary MtH feat. my favorite free spirited AG! What an epic collaboration! Love ATARASHII GAKKO!'s versatility. They are never afraid to try new things and never let themselves be boxed in one style or genre only. New School indeed! Kudos MtH and AG! 🤩👏
I have to say, Nao is absolutely gorgeous in the end and she age like a fine wine (she is 48 fyi). It merely a Atarashi Gakko trhowing their vibe into the song, since the part of MtH are almost the same as the OG, but damn that is a good mix and I love how AG look like the fangirls trying to promote MtH lol. Edit : The woman you're wondering who she is, is Nao, the drummer/singer and older sister of Ryo, the guitarist/singer of the band, she is also a founding member. For the other singer who does a feat with MtH, it's Ano, I don't know much about her.
AG! debuted the "kanji writing" uniforms at Coachella 2024. The writing says their name and the familiar youth and seishun themes. They now alternate them with the plain uniforms, I imagine based on which one is in the wash. They have also performed in red uniforms for the NHK New Year's concert special because they were on the "red team". The whole video is great, but the best bit is from Mizyu's shamisen to the end. Rin's rap is perfect and then we get Nao and MTH and AG singing together which sounds so optimistic and fun...despite the lyrics. Definitely see AG! live. That's where you get the true essence of them as entertainers and it's so much more than watching a video.
You never know where you have MtH. Sometimes they are more silly than good. Sometimes they are more good than silly. Sometimes they are silly and good. So be prepared to see magical stuff and just silly stuff. And sometimes they actually also do beautiful stuff.
Nice reaction! I knew MAXIMUM the HORMONE because I have been a fan of BAND-MAID and the idol group BURST GIRL (whose member Rin said she was a big fan of; she now fronts her own punk band SENTIMENTAL ADOLESCENCE)... And even though I follow many Japanese hard rock, metal, and idol groups, the original video was my first introduction to ATARASHII GAKKO! NAO is a fierce drummer, but also seems to be the most kawaii idol-like member of the band (and she just recently came back as she was on maternity leave from the band for most of 2024)!
Honestly, Japan is a world far superior in its musical offerings, and I'm telling you this as someone whose country has many genres of music that have excelled worldwide. Greetings from Mexico.
11:50 this is the singer/idol named ano. She features on the 3rd song (“CHUCHU LOVELY MUNIMUNI MURAMURA PRINPRIN BORON NURURU RERORERO.” It’s an onomatopoeia for sex noises 😂) of the EP. The second song is “SHIMI” featuring ATARASHII GAKKO! These two songs are older MTH songs but re-recorded with guest artists. The only new song is the first one called “SATSUI vs SATSUI” (MURDER vs MURDER) featuring the actor/singer Ikuta Toma.
I believe the woman screaming the that song at the end is Ano. Hoshoku, I think, is the name of the CD (disc 2 of the 2 CD's). And as many others have said Nao is the Drummer and the singer at the end of Shimi, and she usually sings all of the parts that the AG girls sung in this. Except for the rap that Rin sung, that's new just for this video. There are so many MtH songs you can react to, but I don't know how to get around the YT copyright things. I'd suggest reaching out the the Gaijin Guys. They are a collective of YT reactors from their own channels that come together and talk about the Japanese music scene. That are now all old hats at dealing with MtH I'm sure. They are all big fans! And fans of AG...
Yayy MTH 🔥💪 I'm ready to watch your deep dice for them. As it has probably been mentioned. The drummer is the original signing thos OG parts that includes the last one.
The new album looks like a mix of new and old songs with collabs of the newer generation of artists. The song at the end that caught your attention, and mine, is called "ChuChu Lovely MuniMuni MuraMura PrinPrin Boron Nururu ReroRero". You could listen to the original before the new song featuring "Ano" is released. What's crazy is the artist Ano is actually going to do the scream sing part! Really looking forward to that song.
And it’s no surprise, Ano is a good screamer. Despite the fact that Ano is a model, she has a secret life, guitarist and singer in a punk rock band. ))
It is not an album, it is what used to be called a CD single, with 2 versions of the new song, and a bonus single with the AG, and ano colabs, (seems like most people call it an EP)
The other girl singer you were asking about is Ano! (Former member of You'll Melt More!, and currently a solo artist. Among other things, she did one of the ending theme songs from the Chainsaw Man anime, "Chu, Tayousei.")
i hope that with this song/video, a lot more people react to and listen to maximum the hormone! ive been a fan of them since i first watched death note back in the day in mayyybe 2009? 2010?, and it was really hard to find any information on maximum the hormone, way harder than it is now (and its still hard if you cant read japanese 😭). i remember being so obsessed with the few songs i had by them on my mp3 player when i went to school! anyway if you want to listen to/watch more of them, some of my favourites (that have music videos) include: zetsubou billy, bu-ikikaesu (i watched this one maybe a billion times), what's up, people (probably their most known one since its the second opening for the death note anime), and a few "newer" ones like "maximum the hormone" and "maximum the hormone II" (yes the songs have the same name as the band), and last but not least, Yoshu Fukushu (the song, the album is also called yoshu fukushu). i wish they were more known here in the west, their music is so unique and amazing!!
Just wondering why Cotelle been disbanded and all MV was removed in MTH channel. Wakazaemon was awesome back there, remember Murata's audition too for drumming.
@@christopherjohnferrer3771 RyoKun himself said that he’s such a perfectionist that he’ll try to produce and overview anything 2go-ten (Cottelee) does, which would be in the way of his own musical career.
You could almost say that MTH is the perfection of organized chaos. 😏 They are living legends for a reason and an inspiration for generations to come. 🔥🤘🏻 Especially the in the last part so lovely singing and charming drummer Nao who is mentioned by both Akane (Band-Maid) and Tamu (Nemophila) as the reason why they play drums. Speaking of Nemophila. They have 2 covers of MTH on their channel and one of them is exactly this song here. ;-) And next from MTH themselves, as others have mentioned, I recommend the MV to 'Yoshu Fukushu'. MtH “Koi no Sperm” would be a great one to react to and I’ve seen people do it without getting blocked. Also Ano, the singer at the end of the video that you were wondering about, on the First Take with Lilas Ikuta
I love the way you broke up the song. Btw they were one of the first to implement Metal and Jpop using the Guitarists' sister (the drumer). This is also a collab remix of this song. Shimi was their tops songs that got them nominated for an award, its like the 10 plus year anniversary for it.
The song teaser on the very last part was "Satsui VS Satsui/Intent to murder intent to kill", I would love to see a reaction to it, all their music is absolutely nuts!! It'll be on their official youtube channel as well, hopefully you don't run into copyright issues tho!
There is a video of Tamu (Nemophila) meeting Maximum the Hormone, it is an interesting interaction. th-cam.com/video/Hi--VkbrF44/w-d-xo.html (probably not worth a reaction but it is fun to watch).
And, as someone might have already pointed out, HANABIE. began as a few high school girls forming a band, out of their love for MtH. Their early music was as a cover band for MtH. You can actually find some HANABIE. covers of Shimi, on TH-cam. (And Nemophila covering Shimi, too.)
The second song in the PR after Shimi is featuring ano, but there's no MV for it (yet) and it's not released on YT. ano is.... how to put it... unique. She's brash, just says what comes to her mind and she's pretty much anti-conformity if you want to call it that. She's quite similar to Ado in the sense that young people love her and the older generation who don't want anything to change despise her. Her motto could probably be "normal is boring", she never uses honorifics and talks to everyone like she's friends with them for years or even talks down on them, even if it's someone that has 30 years of experience in the entertainment business. Her First Take duet with Lilas Ikuta from YOASOBI, Zezezezettai Seiiki (the ending theme of the anime Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction, in which both of them also voice the main characters), composed by TK and lyrics by ano, is pretty great if you want to check her out (she's the one with the shorter hair). Or watch her MV of Fuhen, but with CCs, the lyrics are pretty much ano through and through.
i love the "new" ver but noone can touch nao-chan!!i like a.g. but mth is something special!love to see ppl from the music ind. checking mth without knowing where they re going into
Ano is the second singer you mentioned at the very end, unfortunately the Chuu Chuu track is exclusive to the CD but you can find digital copies online through google drives, or you can listen to her other works. Chu, Tayousei is my personal Ano pick
Isn't that a Black Sabbath riff, or am I thinking something else? 1/123/234/4/43212 (low numbers = low notes; higher numbers = high notes; / = empty note for rhythm)
Just in case this gets buried at the end of my other comment.... If you want to talk to people with experience in dealing with MtH reactions on TH-cam... I'd suggest reaching out the the Gaijin Guys. They are a collective of YT reactors from their own channels that come together and talk about the Japanese music scene. That are now all old hats at dealing with MtH I'm sure. They are all big fans! A good track to check out from Ano is "ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki feat. Lilas Ikuta" from the First Take. th-cam.com/video/ADf36atCSvw/w-d-xo.html Ano is pop, but like AG, she doesn't stay in her lane.
... and we finally make our way to MtH ;) . So much good quirky music ... the collab with AG is quite fitting. Personally I can never get enough of Ryō Kawakita's clean vocals ... it does not really matter what he is singing. It is a little unsettling how well and easily AG slots right in.
@@80mtn They seem to be running a lot of specials right now ... probably in prep for the holidays. Amazing how many physical media nuts like us are still left ;) .

Nao is the drummer, Band Maids Akane is a big influence too her as well as Tamu Murata from Nemophila.. Nao does a lot of their singing as well as maximum the Ryokan guitar and Nao's brother. Ue-Chang on Bass, a Flea fan, and Daisuke-San main vocalist. There is more to say about them, but it would take a one finger typist and bad speller way too long to write.
Kanji is the Chinese characters that Japan adopted. It looks like their uniforms are Kanji and Hiragana. Japanese can't be written by just Kanji. Hiragana is so much easier than Kanji though that it actually makes Japanese easier than Chinese.
2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3
They actually started to use those uniforms in Coachella. They no longer use the "clean" uniforms of old. Also, what is wrong with already doing a few of AG reactions, you should do more.
its rare to see someone react to this video. but they come from the Atarashii gakko reaction side. most of the people discovered atarashi gakko with this partnership
The woman at the end is Nao, the drummer of Maximum the Hormone. The drummer chick as you call her 😁 Shimi is an old song from 2007 and Nao normally sing all clean woman voices, but now Atarashi Gakko sing most of them. Nao is a special person. She is the inspiration for many female metal/rock drummers in Japan. Tamu of Nemophila. Akane of BAND-MAID. Haruna of Lovebites.
The "other singer" in the post credits was Nao, MtH's drummer. Eta: since I replied before your reaction was done, the woman singing at the end was also Nao.
SUZUKA sings NAO’s parts (NAO appears dressed as a geisha near the end). I think she’s also to one of RYO-KUN’s parts. 😂 You should compare to the original. It say track 2 features “ano”. There are many, many MTH videos that show the complete videos. Try YOUSHU FUKUSU, KOI NO SUPERMA, LET’S TALK ABOUT MEKATA KOTTERI, and HUNGRY PRIDE.
MTH doesn't produce much new music nowadays, that's why I rarely listen to them now. By the way, MTH's female drummer Nao is one of the persons who inspired Akane from Band Maid in the past.
Careful, a few other reactors have had copyright strikes on their channels for reacting to this specific video. A lot of other reactions to this are still up though so who knows how they pick and choose who to strike.
Only Hormone is able to put 7 VOCALISTS in a single song and make it sound good (4 from Atarashi and 3 from Hormone) as for the keyboard there are moments where TO ME it really sounded unnecessary especially in the transitions between vocalists, regarding the hip hop part it actually sounds very much like NU metal, a band that mainly dominates this style (guttural and hip hop) is a band from India called Bloodywood which is basically their style. The song is simply brutal and possibly the best in the history of MTH
Hopefully this video might be okay, but MtH are very aggressive with their copyright claims against reaction videos. Known of several channels that've had escalated copyrighted strikes made against them by the band's management, including some pretty recently.
The drummer is the singer you're asking about. She was an inspiration for a generation of female drummers in Japan, including Akane from Band Maid and Tamu from Nemophila. The guitarist is her little brother.
She's the most badass bitch to ever play in a rock band. And she looks amazing at almost 50.
Not just drummers. She was one of the first
notable women in the music industry to get married and have kids while continuing their careers.

Or watch her MV of Fuhen, but with CCs, the lyrics are pretty much ano through and through.
i love the "new" ver but noone can touch nao-chan!!i like a.g. but mth is something special!love to see ppl from the music ind. checking mth without knowing where they re going into
This is a banger of a song! Check out their song Yoshu Fukushu next. 👍
Mth tend to mix multiple genres in songs. A.L.I.E.N. is my favorite. That one seems safe.
Ano is the second singer you mentioned at the very end, unfortunately the Chuu Chuu track is exclusive to the CD but you can find digital copies online through google drives, or you can listen to her other works. Chu, Tayousei is my personal Ano pick
What about a video reacting to the Tachibana Kyoto high school marching band?
Hi there. How did you upload this video. I did a reaction video and it put it on blocked because of copyright. Any suggestions.
Isn't that a Black Sabbath riff, or am I thinking something else?
1/123/234/4/43212
(low numbers = low notes; higher numbers = high notes; / = empty note for rhythm)
She was a lose for words for awhile 😂
try to make a marching program to this
Is Fire!!!
And fans of AG...
Nao rules so much.
You did my song suggestion, so awesome. Please check out "Be OK" the live version by Band-Maid.
最高だろ?
MTH is an institution ❤
A good track to check out from Ano is "ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki feat. Lilas Ikuta" from the First Take. th-cam.com/video/ADf36atCSvw/w-d-xo.html Ano is pop, but like AG, she doesn't stay in her lane.
... and we finally make our way to MtH ;) . So much good quirky music ... the collab with AG is quite fitting. Personally I can never get enough of Ryō Kawakita's clean vocals ... it does not really matter what he is singing. It is a little unsettling how well and easily AG slots right in.
Hey Panic! 🙂 You know what? Mine came at 3 o'clock on the 25th. That was pretty good service!
@@80mtn They seem to be running a lot of specials right now ... probably in prep for the holidays. Amazing how many physical media nuts like us are still left ;) .
@@PANIC_aka_PinD One's and zero's, Baby! Hehehe All I have for merch is a challenge coin from the Anaheim show and a coin hat pin that Yoshi brought me from a show in Japan. Now this. It was worth it.
The drummer chick as you call her 😁
Shimi is an old song from 2007 and Nao normally sing all clean woman voices, but now Atarashi Gakko sing most of them.
Nao is a special person. She is the inspiration for many female metal/rock drummers in Japan. Tamu of Nemophila. Akane of BAND-MAID. Haruna of Lovebites.
BTW - Nemophila do cover this song!
It's ano, not Nao.
@@mfreak1126Then why does Google say Nao?
@@Kcgrade095 he's confused because he didn't clarify which woman at the end.
@@Kcgrade095 Because that part of the original is sung by Nao? The voice by which she was surprised is obviously ano's.
The "other singer" in the post credits was Nao, MtH's drummer.
Eta: since I replied before your reaction was done, the woman singing at the end was also Nao.
No, during the credits, it's Ano, for the second song of the EP.
@@realdocloco ah, appreciate the correction.
The mosh pits with Maximum the Hormone are insane. Just watch out for all the crowd surfers to avoid getting kicked in the head from behind.
🤘🇺🇦🤘
🥰🥰💌
I absolutely love Nemophila version of this song.
SUZUKA sings NAO’s parts (NAO appears dressed as a geisha near the end). I think she’s also to one of RYO-KUN’s parts. 😂
You should compare to the original.
Hy sayangku🤍
Have you ever checked out Heilung? I think you would really dig the instrumentation.
Careful, a few other reactors have had copyright strikes on their channels for reacting to this specific video. A lot of other reactions to this are still up though so who knows how they pick and choose who to strike.
If Atarashii Gakko, and others, can get MTH to put out new music, so much the better! MTH has been kind of sparse with new stuff for years.
Please be aware that MTH does issue copyright strikes on reaction videos. You may want to move this one to your Patreon page.
"Drei Wetter Taft"
The post is not copystriked yet!
Please react to Floor and Epica singing Sancta Terra
very wise because I knew some reactor had a strike due to this video.
MTH has been striking reactors on this song. FYI
Hopefully this video might be okay, but MtH are very aggressive with their copyright claims against reaction videos. Known of several channels that've had escalated copyrighted strikes made against them by the band's management, including some pretty recently.
Be careful with Maximum the Hormone videos. They are notorious for copy right striking channels.
This songs is only on fisical versión of the album
@nittpicc check the spanish subtitles it make the song one hundred times better!!
