You thought the same as me, I was hoping the Crusader wouldn't just be yet another Chieftain clone. I would love a new big ship, or new exploration or even a new mining ship. Anything but another cloned medium combat ship, maybe our prayers will be answered in 3.3!!!
I like the crusader. Love it. But really they should have just elongated it and widened it a bit so the fighter bay woukd fit better, something like the type 6 to keelback ya know? Keelback model isn't just a type6 with a fighter bay but is actually wider and somewhat different form to properly compensate
God knows when it happens but I can just see a large alliance ship being released whenver they decide to do a QOL update. I'm not including the type 10. Coz... Its just a reskinned 9 made for thargoid or whatever. I mean a large alliance ship, an original ship from the ground up or even a remake of an old ship simialr to what they've done with the Krait MK2. considering it seems theyve copied the pattern with the Federal ships. -Dropship -Assualt Ship -Gunship Then boom, Federal Corvette. Large ship. They could do with making a medium Imperial ship too though.
Chieftain is the original and really the most fun to fight with. Maneuverability and 2 large hardpoints for my APArs. The remakes miss the point, I feel. Fighter bay on a medium fighting ship is nice, but there are better options and now with Krait not even locked behind the rank grind.

If you relate the Crusader to the Gunship there's very little differences bar the gunships a tank and holds more weapons I believe.
