If you dig that footwork. You should check out Thomas Lang or Benny Grebs footwork. Thomas used like 9 pedals in some of his old solos. And Benny did a very similar duel hi hat pattern to the one we see in the intro Tom beat.

No one compares to him. In every way his drum parts are perfect and they hold emotion in the music unlike any other drums I’ve heard. Neo, black lava, and vipassi all are unbelievably unique bands and a lot of it is because of Dan and how interesting his drumming is.

How had I never heard of this band??? I just LOVE it. As a long time DT fan, I love progressive music which blends all styles but remains focused on progressing from soft to ballsy stuff. This is one step further in terms of extreme metal, but at the same time you guys keep it super clean, the compositions never seem too clogged like is often the case. The virtuosity is kept where it should be, too, in subtle touches. I could basically copy/paste this comment on every single one of your videos. Absolute instant fan here.

The control you have over your limbs for different sections of the song is incredible! Especially that part at 7:30 where you have the hi-hat playing quarter notes underneath the kick and your hands. Makes my head hurt just watching! I can't watch it enough times

Is a 12/8 blast beat, the left hand on the snare and the pattern of the right hand is making a pattern of 12/8 with triplets.
