You haven't properly used a Republic Fighter Tank until you've learned to push AATs over the ledge again and again on Mygeeto in the 2005 game.
Battlefront I 2004 has splash damage for both the lasers and missiles.

By alot you mean like 5 feet radius splash damage. You can kill people hiding behind objects with it. Heroes cant even run from it.
Plus both it and its 2005 counterpart had the turret on top.

It also happens to first order tie fighters. When they get destroyed, their texture changes to the imperial ones
2019 BF2 really depends on your play style
The TX-130 is more a run and gun, agressive tank
The AAT is a more defensive, hold the line tank
Basically: TX-130 functions as a Medium tank and AAT is practically a Tank Destroyer.
Im not sure about 2019 BF2's AATs, but in the Star Wars The Clone Wars game on the GameCube, the AATs had a major flaw with their turrets being unable to swivel 360 to fire behind them. So when a TX-130 Saber tank just zoomed past an AAT and got behind it, the Saber was able to hide from the AAT's main gun while shooting the AAT in the back.

Excuse me, what? The tanks in the old games were way more agile. They could strafe much faster, change direction faster, reverse faster, and were way smoother. The new one is very stiff on the controls in comparison.

I can tell that the NR-N99 Snail Tank is going to be the counterpart to this, if there will be one. They both have forward facing cannons, explosives, etc.

@@lazyproductions8005 yeah, the droids on Geonosis need a map exclusive vehicle because now they have to focus on troops, speeders, ATTEs and TX-130s, its a bit too much for the 20 players to handle especially if most of them are going for kills as with most GA matches
@@Lexie_Tyler05 considering they just nerfed the atte health pool I don't think it's much of a problem especially when they buffed the health pool of the second phase objective

If SWBF3 happens, I hope some vehicles have ‘loadouts’ so when you enter a vehicle, it changes to the loud you set. The one with a turret is mainly for infantry and then there would be an artillery with more middle stuffs. 2 play styles
I love being a trooper with a jetpack so I can 1v1 a tank.

Agreed 2005 of SWBF2 is still the best simply bacause of it's mod support and 3rd party server hosting.

Battlefront (2004) had the best and most powerful vehicles in the series. Each shot had splash damage that could kill anything instantly, something neither Battlefront II can brag about. They were also harder to kill, being vulnerable only to mines, rockets, and other tanks.
Were forgetting about vehicle design. The older version looked absolutely fantastic in design. It just looked strong and bulky. The new design however, it just looked flat and plastic like. I’d prefer the older design.
You forgot that the TX-130 from 2005 had a boost function that let it fly forward into the air, and with it you could usually kill units if you landed on top of them.

Almost all the classic version are better than the new ones. Simply cause you don't just magically appear in them, they spawn on the map and you go and get into them and most are multi seat meaning you can ride around with friends. The troop carrier being the most fun (don't remember its official name), you could load in soo many clones into that thing. The pilot with his guns, the side gunners and a bunch of troops in the back ready to land and invade an enemy outpost.
We just need a remaster of the real Battlefront 2, that game came with more content at release then the years of update EA and Dice's version has now in 2021.

I absolutely fell in love with the new TX-130 when it came out. I managed to get a killstreak of 48 on my first try and I was alive for the whole groundphase with this beast. What's also important is that it finally balanced the fact that seppies had a tank and clonebois didn't.
I like how the empire had a grey one. In the old Battlefront Games.
I originally used the tx-130 in the original star wars the clone wars game for gamecube og xbox and ps2. I feel like it supasses all of them in every way imo.
My favorite thing to do with the tank in the new battlefront is play CS on geonosis, maneuver up the big hill, and then just go flying through the air to the command post on top of the hill and start blasting everything.

The very first battlefront had such an amazing heavy canon feel. You could feel how hard it decimated your enemies when you use your primary vehicle weapons. Too amd battlefront II 2005 got rid if that splash damage and screen shaking. Makes me feel like vehicles do nothing to enemy units.

If we go by the in game stats alone, the Battlefront classic ones win due to having 8 times the health and 1000 damage on the turret beam gun, but then again they are operating on a different stat scale.
In my sci-fi fandom the TX-130 is the medium armour vehicle which is a combo of both battlefront 2's with the dosh dosh dosh and missiles of EA bf2 and the beam cannon from the og bf2 but the gunner/commander of it is lower down cus ya'know keep guys alive and stuff
I prefer the blue bolts because blue is what all the clones used due to ionization of the bolts making them more effective vs droids

What should have been nice in BF2 2017, it's that regular TX 130 laser should be blue and charged laser should be green just like in SW CW from pandemic back in 2002. It would have been more homogeneous according to old sources.
But red laser for regular and blue for charged is good too because red laser are weaker than blue laser in real life. #Nerd

There is a small flaw to the 2019 one, if the enemy has a Stap and goes in between it can glitch and fire the tank to death and since the guns are too wide you can die to a Stap easily.

In felucia in co-op I got a 56 kill streak and I got a quad kill with the charge shot and then I destoryed a droid tank at the same time co-op with the thing is fun as hell

Still can't understand why they changed so much of the design, it makes the dice one look like a toy compared to the others.
2019 TX-130 is best, it's charge shots fully charged can annihilate aats in one shot, with a little bit of extra support from small arms, that's pretty nice

Not to say that its a hover tank and what I did like was they floated on the water in the new ones they don't do that was what made me a little sad remember in the old one u would spawn on top of it so it wouldn't kill you and u can use it as a ship

I don't get why we can't just get into the vehicles in battlefront like in battlefield. It would of been so much better if you could have another player in the beam laser turret.
The classic has better vehicles bcuz u can just enter one if u see one but in the new one u need points to spawn in one

I never played the 2017 Battlefront 2 [which should be called Battlefront 4 because !@#$ EA] but from what I gather and as someone who has played so many hours on BF1 and BF2 on my PS2 and PC, I have noticed pretty huge differences in the kind of firepower BF1 and BF2 IFT-T TX-130 tanks have.
The laser cannons in BF1 had a very explosive punch in which shooting the ground would cause some pretty nasty splash damage and a huge chance of knocking you off your feet before getting demolished by it a few shots later. This makes the long range anti-infantry role of the tank very devastating if the driver is a good shot as well. Coupling that with the lethal beam weapon on top of the tank, there is no doubt the TX-130 is immensely powerful at medium to longer sightlines to avoid rockets and concussion grenades and to a degree, laser fire from the turrets. Also the laser cannons and beam weapon are colored blue for Clones and green for the Empire. Neat touch with a different paint scheme. Can't forget the concussion missiles, they packed a fairly good punch against tanks and more so against annoying pesky turrets that had a fairly decent explosive effect and damage was reliable. Not only that but BF1 also had ammunition limits on missiles so that was a realistic touch.
BF2 on the other hand increased the tank's overall maneuverability, durability to a degree and a big upgrade to the concussion missile systems onboard the tank's hover 'legs'. But it pays for it with BF2s new vehicle weapon mechanics as the Laser Cannons on the TX-130s on both factions (and all of the vehicles that don't have particle cannons) receiving a painful nerf. The rate of fire of the laser cannons were increased, the projectile speed was increased a bit, energy consumption was a bit lower, given a more basic color of red like every laser weapon ever that isn't on an Imperial ship and loses all of its destructive explosive splash damage. Because of this, you needed a higher degree of accuracy, particularly at longer sightlines where the weapon systems would lock into the center better and forcing a need to use the unlimited supply of concussion missiles that fired both at the same time, causing crippling damage to whatever it hits and if its a critical hit, oh that's a paddling. Also the missiles had a projectile speed buff I'm pretty sure so evading them was much harder in closer engagements and the splash damage isn't too bad either!
The BF2 TX-130 also featured engine boosts that would give it a sudden jolt of speed and this causes the tank to be an armored train that can run over any human to wookie-sized target instantly and can make an effective battering ram in a dire banzai ram before ejecting out of the tank. This gives the tank more maneuvering options but due to the nerf of the laser cannons' splash damage or to better say, outright removal of it, the anti-infantry role is even more necessary for the beam gunner, which is pretty cool considering the beam cannon has blast shields in front to protect the gunner in front, leaving only an exposed part of his head that is like an invitation to every sniper [player, not AI] to stat pad their headshot ratios.
All in all, each of the TX-130 versions are pretty respectable and apart from my HUGE gripe of not seeing the iconic beam turret on the BFII-EA [BF4 imo, fight me.], the tanks do their job very well as infantry support and use in anti-tank and anti-infantry. In a straight up fight with two very well matched players, the droid AAT edges out the TX-130 in Alpha strike due to the massive siege gun on top of the tank (reminds me of tanks we have today, love it) whereas the IFT-T TX-130 tanks has the edge in mobility and a lower profile and this goes to both games BF1 and BF2, albeit to a lesser degree with BF1 in terms of mobility.
Great video nonetheless, enjoyed it to bits, TX-130 is my personal favorite tank
