I loved the campaign mission on Battlefront 1 in Naboo Plains because the standard soldier unit was a normal battledroid and not the super battledroid, was the only mission where you play as them.
In BF2 2005, the Empire attacked Naboo to replace the current queen who was hiding Jedi and other anti-Empire dissidents. So they even included a viable story reason for this being an option.
For me personally the one thing that make the game easily as good as the original would be instant action aka the game but offline with ai the reason why I liked it so much is because I could feel bad ass without having to spend hours playing or having the best star cards to fight against try hards. I could just have fun.
Andrew, it's quite easy for Boba to kill his brothers. if you remember that one clone wars episode where Boba tried to kill Mace Windu by bringing an ENTIRE STAR DESTROYER to the grounds of vancor, he did kill a few clones. even if not directly. still love your videos. not trying to be toxic or know-it-all... The new map is a more fun map to play in my opinion. Although I must admit I had forgotten about the Naboo plains map in the first game, I'd love to have a version of that battle in the new Battlefront 2
The new maps are clearly better, but one of my best experiences ever was as a extremely outmatched lone clone trooper doing guerrilla runs on AATs in the 2005 version. It felt like a great story of a ragtag bunch of troopers conquering impossible odds. Anyway, yes. Nostalgia.

Pandemic really did make a masterpiece. Everytime I play Theed in BF2017 I get sad about just how barebones the map and game really is. Small things in this video alone, like that clone tumbling backwards when you struck him as Maul, riding an ST with a B2 battle droid. One of my fondest memories is from a Battlefront 2 LAN party, jamming modded conquest XL with lightsaber Sheev in a tank the whole match. When my friend finally managed to destroy my tank, i did the classic Sheev 900 and the lad got such a fright he almost threw his laptop into the ceiling. Good times.

Since you mentioned Geonosis thus is relevant. I was playing as Obi-Wan on Geonosis and he said something about Master Windu, they allowed this but references to Padme or Ahsoka?! So uncivilized.
Tough question. The 2019 Naboo is far prettier, and easier to understand than the 2005 one. However, the old one had much better ways to ambush the opponent, it was easier to use snipers and their long range guns (going on buildings for example) than in the new one, wich is quite lacking in that regard (maybe because there's no command point in the central alleyway, so no incentive for players to go there).
Oh and not to mention you can camp the command post in the old Star Wars Battlefront by crouching in the fountain in the large gazebo to keep the enemy AI from stealing your CP.

A bit off topic but both SWBF1s were more enjoyable for myself. I liked the map scale and weapons in 2004 better than 2005. Same goes for 2015 vs 2017. I can't explain it other than it just feels more fun. Plus their were more modes and weapons. The maps were more diverse and less linear as well.

The Naboo Security tanks or flash tanks are available in the original battlefront from 2004 in the campaign.
Fun fact: in the old Battlefront 2 you could drive the hovertanks on the river and they wouldn't sink they were basically tank boats
This is also the case in Battlefront 2004.

In the old Star Wars Battlefront 2 game you can ride your AT-RT in the river and not drown so you can flank the droids or clones.
