    loads of details James. Good review. Hope they hold up long term. For this reason I’ve been going with air coolers in my last build.

    I can't be enthusiastic about Enermax AIOs sadly, because of the infamous Liqtech incidents. I'd say let's wait a year or so to properly evaluate this AIO, because that way, we can be sure that it won't be defective within the first few months.

      Hope James can continue testing and report back in 2024 but that might be challenging logistically. Linus wouldn’t do it. Would cost him 200-500 dollars.

      Don’t think they even use the same oem partner now. That was 4-5 years ago.

      Not sure who the OEM is for Aquafusion, Enermax were not willing to disclose the information unfortunately.

    For the cooling plate mounting, I suggest using a Torque Limiting Screwdriver. I recently got one in the range of 0.1-1.2 Nm to install a "EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity 2 CPU Water Block". After using this just once I wonder how I ever went with out it. It has quickly become an indispensable tool that I use whenever possible. I (of course) still tighten in a proper sequence (web search "torquing sequence"), but with the tool, I can do each torquing cycle in uniform torque steps up to the spec. It's pricey yes, but not more than a quality Framing Hammer and as is often said, a poor mechanic blames poor tools but a good mechanic has good tools.

    400mm tube length is fine. If you have it any longer you need to start dealing with too much tubing.

    It's a bit too early to think about enermax coolers still. Gotta wait until someone hits it with a year long test.

  • @QuentinStephens
    @QuentinStephens ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thanks for the review. It must be very difficult for you to go into such detail on such an unexciting product and maintain your enthusiasm. The noise results seem disappointing - noise is particularly important to me - and I'm also disappointed that they're not using fans that clip together for easier cable management. And then I remember their infamous Liqtech coolers which gunked up, so I hope you will do a follow-up in 6-12 months.

    a lot of analysis there, I skipped to the graphs and thermal performance. seems ok if a little underwhelming, but if that pricing is right then thats overall quite impressive. a bit surprised the 360mm cooler didnt do a little better.

  • @boltsandbraces6261

    really good looking - especially for the money. some other brands would slap 50 more on the price for those.

  • @canarychrome7012
    @canarychrome7012 ปีที่แล้ว

    are they back? havent seen anything from them in years ! I remember having some of their power supplies in the past, were always great. I remember one of their PSU's kept the fan running after the system was switched off to cool the insides of the PC for a short time. surprised that was not adopted more.

    • @myfavoriteviewer306
      @myfavoriteviewer306 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems a little gimmicky to leave fans running. Once the system shuts off heat is no longer produced, natural passive convection is going to handle all the cooling you need at that point. Sure, it won't hurt anything, and I'm sure power use even if the fan ran a fairly long time would be negligible over the lifetime, but it adds unnecessary components to work a feature that's entirely unneeded. Probably why it didn't get used more.

    Hope you can do a long term test on these James to see how they hold up over time. New aio coolers can have problems
    Sadly over time. What their warranty terms ?

    are they more a budget company now than high end? trying to analyse their website but its not loading well for me at all .... I had many an enermax product and they were a quality PSU company

    those fans look like they'll produce high flow, low static pressure - great for case airflow, not so great for pushing air through a radiator
