No, we didn't use concrete but you can. If you choose to use concrete, don't fill it all the way to the top of the hole or water will get in and rot it out
@@SKANK_HUNT49 Mr. T. is probably long gone, but where Red Brand is located (Illinois and close to the Missouri border), concreting in wood posts in is a sure way to get more rot as that concrete (wet or dry poured) is a sponge for water. I would have added more treatment to the posts though....particularly at ground level...which is where they always rot out due to soil microbes.
