He had the wind knocked out of him. As slow as Chief O'Hara was, he knew Robin well enough to know that he wouldn't deliberately do that and was under the influence of some hypnosis.
@@freebeerfordworkers to be fair this show came in the 60s , the 60s drama movies back then used to have this kinda spoofy genre in it and also don't forget the batman comics back then were more spoofier and goofier than this .
tonyocch1, the drug was much too powerful for our Robin. He suffered through the very powerful side effects for quite a long time. While Catwoman and her gang were robbing Wayne Manor, he becomes very dizzy and practically faints in that feline's arms. It looked as if he would hit his head on a mantelpiece or table, but he was caught before he could hurt himself in a fall. It just shows how Robin really risks his safety and his life in the name of fighting crime.
Burt Ward was hard to please sometimes. First he complained about his part being too small. So the writer wrote him into almost every scene. (Either as Dick Grayson or Robin.) THEN, Burt complained about having too much to do. So the writer made this episode where Robin was kidnapped in the first scene, and then not rescued until almost the last. But Burt was still the man for the job of Robin.
I would think he's an alright guy. I felt sorry for him when I found out he was injured (for real) during more than one episode. Mostly due to 'certain powers' cutting corners or certain safety procedures not being followed.
He got injured ALL THE TIME! They had a stunt double for Adam West, but rarely used a stunt double for Bert Ward because of the angle of the shots, which usually came from Bert's direction. They even gave him salt peter to stop that bulge in his tights. But still, they both got a lot of tail, if you know what I mean.
Oh he did. In the first episode Burt was injured several times. Once because of an explosion because no one bothered to build a break away set. In "The PurrFect Crime," those tigers almost did take a chunk out of Burt. Trust me. I'm not without some sympathy for Burt Ward.
You mean there were OTHERS?!? 😉 eartha kitt had the purr down perfectly, Lee meriweather was seductive in her own right, Pfeiffer's was more than a bit over the top, Halle berry...well, and I have yet to see Anne Hathaway's version
If Robin had been convicted of his crimes, he would have to be unmasked as Dick Grayson, youthful ward of millionaire Bruce Wayne. Then Batman would be in crap for hitting a minor and HE would be convicted and forced to unmask as well. The cost was too great. Very diabolical of Catwoman and not seen since the pilot with the Riddler.
Kind of funny then you would think that Robin really wasn't acting. He really wanted Leslie Gore, and Julie Newmar was just another notch on his belt too. He didn't just run around with Leslie and Catwoman for nothing
Stephen Smith get the hardcover edition of The Dark Knight Returns, and use it to bash your head in, so that hopefully you'll only remember Frank Miller's good stories....
The integrity and high standards of Batman ... far too noble to fight, even defend against one weaker than he. Especially a temporarily insanely deserting subordinate. True ethics!
Yesh, people stop saying this is fake because the sound is just off. Its hard to find a version of this where sound is good so I thank this uploader for trying there best :D
I couldn't help but notice that Robin had A LOT of repressed anger with Batman. Why would that be, I wonder? LOL Loved this show when I was a kid and seeing this clip, well, it's a reminder of innocent days. Thanks for posting!
Robin: so he's down now. Shoot him cat! Catwomen: Nah let's just escape. Robin: But why? I mean he's down.. Catwoman: Who's gonna shake a pretty mean cape then, robin? You? I don't think so
That cop felt so betrayed that he couldn't even defend himself and just accepted the cold floor.
He had the wind knocked out of him. As slow as Chief O'Hara was, he knew Robin well enough to know that he wouldn't deliberately do that and was under the influence of some hypnosis.
True
@@cammy85well let’s be honest Chief O Hara wouldn’t have stood a chance anyways had he decided to try to fight back
Groovy..
-Robin sometime in the '60s.
This is when he is not slaying demons from hell.
Batman: OH NO!
ROBIN: OH YES!
The most realistic fight scene in TV history.
... And the Oscar goes to:
Like a Floyd Mayweather fight yeah.
Robin beat up batman
That wasn't the real batman stunt man
@@lloydkline1518 at least Adam West didn’t need molded plastic to improve his physique like all his replacements did. And even Alfred didn’t need it.
Nightwing just made Batman his bitch.
I like how the sound effect comes BEFORE the punch...
1875HIBEESFC the soundtrack is slow
he's so fast the sound of his punches have a reverse sound wall break effect
It’s not synchronized in this clip. Is not the show’s fault.
@@llrainll No Robin's handspeed is so fast the speed of sound can't keep up.
Burt Ward must have really loved this.
Doug Mangum love being loved being a badass
Can you really blame Robin for siding with Julie Newmar?
Love catwoman outfit, she had a sexy voice too, very tall
Miidnight learning clinic with catwiman& singer
😂
"Robin slay the blue dragon" , "Oh No", "Oh Yes"
The fight scenes in this are freaking hilarious, i can't help but laugh just seeing that all they're doing is hitting air xD lmao
batman 60's show, the literal definition of the phrase "so bad is good"
It was made as a spoof/comedy. "So bad its good" implies that something wasn't made with he intention of being bad..
@@timothy790110 very true and 100 times more entertaining than any of the Batman movies since.

I grew up with the idea that villains had more fun! Batman was always so serious, while the villains were always laughing it up!
1:07 Now that has to be the most poorly constructed chair in the history of carpentry.
No it's a break away balsa wood prop.
OMG THE BEGINGING WAS DISTURBING
I agree! Lol
this is one of my favorite episodes of 1966 Batman... can't stop laughing lol
I had a crush on Robin as a kid (I still do) so when he called the cat "Gorgeous" I threw a tantrum.
What do woman see in Robin, his outfit , I like wally cleaver on leave to beaver was better looking, david Cassidy on the patridge family TV show
@@lloydkline3265 it's the groovy colors on that costume.
@@lloydkline3265 considering I was a kid when I had a crush on him, I probably saw someone cute who was a fighter despite being not an adult
An entire fight scene just went by without a single "POW!". this dosn't feel right....
Arkham Batman would've floored Robin.
What an intense fight, wow!
It was about time. Robin was fed up with being bossed around by Batman. Of course he wanted to be with Lesley Gore instead.
It's fun to see Robin under Catwoman's power.
Well, she used that drug to capture him, and it is difficult for any gentlemen to resist those charms!!

Holy Intoxication! Robin has been drugged

Yeah, it was really low budget, and they didn't care about his safety, only Adam West's, who was the star, in essence.
From this moment on,the WWE adapted the chair shot. Lol.
1:00 yeah that totally hit, not fake at all...
Thank you honeyshake for putting this on TH-cam, if that doesn't make you smile as well as die laughing nothing will 👍
LMAO I couldn't believe I watched this. Same Bat Time,Same Bat Channel...
Julie Newmar.......sexiest Catwoman EVER!!!!
56postoffice so sexy and a strong-willed woman like she once said to Batman" I ain't pussy putting around anymore batman!"
I like Eartha Kitt myself.

I love lee meriwether ,she was gorgeous, julie neumar wore the catwoman outfit better
Better get Kato to slay that Boy Wonder. LOL.
I know, Batman didn't want to hit his buddy Robin, but at least Batman could have defended himself.

Or used bat gas to subdue Robin without hurting him!
Batman loved Robin, cannot win all your battles , maybe my favorite catwoman episode
batman isnt a child abuser especially not to his adopted son
Batman getting beat up by his own sidekick how humiliating
He didn't want to hurt him
Did he punch him in the stomach?
ROBIN " HEEL TURN " ON BATMAN ! LOL !!!
"Batman vs Robin"
Robin was more a liability probably why batman got rid of robin in the movies,
RIP, Adam West. RIP, Lesley Gore.
This was pretty funny I know batman"s hoping actual puberty isn't this hazardous
Both Actress Julie Newmar & Lee Meriwether who played Catwoman. Meooooowwww!!!!
Revertino Tse ...both are still alive
Lesley Gore looks teeny tiny next to Julie Newmar.
Julie Newmar was 5'11" (180 cm) tall and was wearing smaller heels as Catwoman, so she looked about 6-foot in the show. She was quite a tall lady.
was? She's still alive you know :P
People shrink as they get older and I dont think she is currently wearing heels...nver mind coming snookums.
A fair point.
😂 I miss this show!
This whole thing is made even funnier by the fact that Robin's about as scary as a baby kitten
In his defense He's punching sir that takes alot of effort
greatest show ever to be conceived by mankind
Still better stakes than Batman v Superman
True.
My God Robins become a badass he's ready for WWE after smashing that chair over Batman
Kind of funny then you would think that Robin really wasn't acting. He really wanted Leslie Gore, and Julie Newmar was just another notch on his belt too. He didn't just run around with Leslie and Catwoman for nothing
Holy its your party and we will all cry if we want to Rip Leslie
My favorite episode!! Rest in peace Leslie
❤ kathy kersh & Linda Scott episodes;; my favorite catwoman episodes
@mike stambaugh Linda Gaye scott: Scott toilet paper family: she was in green hornet episodes too
Let's hear it for testosterone!
Still a better love story than Twilight.
One of my favorite catwoman episodes
That was a sad day for that Batman & Robin meme. Batman would have swung for real.
The reason why I LOVE Robin! He is so random! x'D
When I forget to pause the game and drop the joystick in "Batman Arkham City". 0:49
Burt Ward as Robin was such a cutie! I love these old shows.
The beat-down was so convincing.
Them uppercuts tho . . .
I would marry Catwoman and Pussycat!
Do you mean offciate the wedding?
Some puberty: His punches didn't even say "pow"
It's because he turned evil. Only the good guys got sound effects when they punched people.
the first and ONLY time that Robin kicked Batman's ass
Love you all
if this was the comic, Batman would have knocked out his teeth. he just would have felt a little conflicted about it...
Please don't, I'm getting flashbacks from Allstar batman and robin.
Stephen Smith get the hardcover edition of The Dark Knight Returns, and use it to bash your head in, so that hopefully you'll only remember Frank Miller's good stories....
drhploveboat This Batman probably would have sprayed some anti-violence spray on Frank Miller's Batman to mellow him out.
This episode is awesome
The integrity and high standards of Batman ... far too noble to fight, even defend against one weaker than he. Especially a temporarily insanely deserting subordinate. True ethics!
so is Knightwing just Dick Grayson's angsty teen phase?
Was so much less cheesey and fake when I was a kid. Tough to watch it now
He didn't want to hurt his sidekick.
Girls during puberty : I hate u all!
boys during puberty : 0:50-1:18

It's just a pair of
Teel green cycle shorts
A blueberry red raisin top
A custom made R
A few frog buttons
And a bright lemon cape not gay at all.
I always loved and admired Julie Newmar's Catwoman. Her fierce independence was quite an oddity in the 60's.
Robin: holy ass whoopin
Didn't Mr. Spock go through a 10-minute puberty on Star Trek 3?
Why didn't Batman fight back?
It's sempel it's his friend but if bat man got batwoman the different story
It might be tough fighting your son.
You should not hit your significant other!
Maybe Batman likes getting beaten up by young men in tights
Batman knew Robin didn't have a chance if he hit him back.

More beautiful villains capturing superheroes please!!
If this was The Three Stooges, that chair would’ve easily knocked out Catwoman at 1:10
?
She was nowhere near it; optical illusion.
Did they forget those "Pow", "Sock" and "Wham" etc. words for that episode??
Only good guys get the Pow, Sock and Wham.
spot on sound effects
the chair breaks before he even throws it.
He broke it with his hands
this show is still better than "gotham".
This is better than "The Dark Knight Rises". And Julie Newmar is way hotter then Anne Hathaway.
huge fan of this 60s tv show
Good for you. Give this man a cookie
Batman's fat
Fatman
fantastic acting
oh man love has made robin so strong he tore the back of the chair apart with his barehand and by the looks of it barely even tried
I love how he lifts a leg up for extra super punching power!
: )
The Uppercuts were out of this world.
perfect acting
omg look how far Batman has come.
wow replay 100 times robin breaking a chair over batman's head.
I love how real the fight scene looked
why do we fall?
so we can watch batman 60's and get up again
Either the sound's faster than the video or robin's punches are from the future.
Whoa look at that great acting
I couldn't help but notice that Robin had A LOT of repressed anger with Batman. Why would that be, I wonder? LOL

Batman sold those uppercuts really well
how could you say such a thing!? this show is AWESOME!
Robin: so he's down now. Shoot him cat!
Catwomen: Nah let's just escape.
Robin: But why? I mean he's down..
Catwoman: Who's gonna shake a pretty mean cape then, robin? You? I don't think so
Yeah but the Green Hornets side kick Kato vs Robin was the very best!
Very little in this world compares to the beauty of a sidekick turning against its master.
I wish they had Robin like this all the time, it was great to see Robin not being lame for once!
At least better than any hand-to-hand combat in the TDK-trilogy...
