If you make the crawler run when the floor is collapsing you might be able to make it across without doing any jumping. I was lucky enough to make it work.
Yeah, that absolutely works - it was a weird thing in my playthrough of the game I kept forgetting to make crawlers sprint, and I kept forgetting to use the overlord explosion when I needed to blow up something large or high in the air. My guides all work, but other people have put together faster/more efficient methods of getting the challenges.
Yes, the person on the dev team who went "hey! I have an idea! On top of a being a level where the player sees nothing, which we all know everyone absolutely LOVE, it will also be a die & retry because there will be trap everywhere!"... "OMG, genius! Now this is sure challenging fun difficulty!"
I mean i've woken the zombie up by a spit, but you have to literally be pinpoint accurate when it comes to it, if you can't touch a pixel of that zombie with the spit, it won't wake it
Actually collapsing bridge at 3:50 can be avoided with running crawler.

I just don't want to spend a time on this pitch black levels so this was REALLY helpfull!

Well, I was to late, Seems that that spitting trick at 1:03 doesn't really work anymore
Might as well do the whole jumping puzzle or spit. Personally I spit but I think it uses a bit more DNA?...
