i did it without even realising it. actually it is really easy also there is another way to go at the second zombie spawning door if you go in the small little pool of water covered in stone and blow it up you gain direct access to the other segment of the level without needing to do hard throws
After starting the level, I cleared the ground level blocks by creating a tank. Didn't complete the challenge so maybe that's to DNA inefficient. You skipped connecting the first zombie door thing with the starting possession entirely. Also, you don't need to rush the tanks unless your in a hurry. They'll break the blocks, just slower (although you could of course speed the game up).
Thanks for the tip! For some reason it almost never occurred to me to use the Overlord Explosion for really high things. Also I had just been doing the 3rd chapter boss level, which is nothing but throwing zombies, which I'm sure got into my head.
Makes me happy..this level was super annoying and I was doing it so wrong...another really helpful video
They must have changed this level since this video, the one I'm playing looks nothing like this stage.

Just tried this - If you turn a guy into an overlord directly underneath the crate with the scream on top and explode him then the crate drops
