    Final breakdown for all three together: speaker with tin 17lbs ($1.70), sheet aluminum 1.10lbs ($0.53), extrusion 9 oz. ($0.49), #2 copper 1.5lbs ($8.44) = $9.18. PS copper donut 1lb 14 oz #1 copper =$8.44

I use to get confused when I first watched your video's with the term "tin". I think its because its called "light iron" at many USA scrap yards. Great video as always.

I believe painted extrusion is worth more than clean is becaause the painted contains less zinc in it. Zinc prevents paint from bonding to aluminum correctly

Thanks for the info. Sounds reasonable to me.

For magnet fishing you are looking for Neodymium not Ferrite cheaper magnets often sold for speakers. Ferrite magnets are about five times less expensive costs for speakers than an equivalent Neodymium magnet speaker and is rarely bought (maybe for a rock concert or a music system drawing larger wattage in power for sound amplifiers).

Ever come across power cleaners used in audio equipment? Glorified powerstrips used to clean the signal, I have to imagine they have to have some serious copper as they are not light.

I usually just toss my speakers into my e-waste pile. Taking them apart will give you alot of waste/wood/plastic that may cost to dump

🇨🇦You should have Canadian flag in your channel name to let people know you're talking about Canadian $. Usually I can't tell difference between Americans & Canadians.

And to ur comment anout shred or tin. I dont know why they call it tin here in ontario and canada as tin is actually non ferrous there is no iron in real tin

I know, weird with the tin/shred category. Thank you for the compliment and support. Amazing how much precious metals are in the different appliances and electronics we use everyday. Stay well and happy scrapping to you and your wife.

I have an angle grinder. I thought about getting a screw gun, but I don’t mind using a regular screwdriver. Although a screw gun would be quicker?

You are wrong, the Items with 3 Legs on the Heatsinks contains Copper and Gold, Gold 0,3g/Kg and sometimes a little Silver. The most is Copper, don't sell it Copper Nr.2, you will loose Money.
