- Hello scrappers and planet lovers. In this video, I will show you all the free gold and other metals that can be found when scrapping old phones. I will show you how to safely and effectively identify and separate the metals in order to help maximize your profit and divert as much of the material away from the landfill as possible.

Tin man dont get discouraged by some hateful comments....theres plenty ppl appreciate your time you take to share information that everybody should find helpful especially with prices of precious metals going up in value👍👍👍👍👍
I appreciate that. As Taylor Swift says “haters gonna hate, hate, hate…shake it off”
Thank you Tim! Good information to pick out gold from items some of us didn't realize were there. See many of these at estate sales on their final day that are pretty cheap and will end up getting thrown away. Have thrown a number away of my own, unknowingly.
Glad it was helpful! Amazing what you can find at old estate sales and garbage day. Stay well and happy scrapping
Thanks tin man. Very informative as always. Keep em coming
Thank you for the comment and kind words. Thank you for watching.
Have yet to find an old phone. They probably end up in trash bags due to size.
My stripmeister showed up today tho, and it is frickin' awesome!
Good to see a new video. I always get the 1-3 year old ones in my feed
I love my stripmeister. it has saved me hours of time and wear on my body. Thanks for the comment. I release a video every Monday morning.
great vid!
Great video as always mate.
Thanks again! I always appreciate the comments and the views. Stay well and happy scrapping
Great video mate , I like going for gold recovery items 👍😁
Thanks for watching and the comment. Amazing how many items have gold in them. Stay well and happy scrapping.
Awesome video, I have been collecting them anytime I found those types of phones. Also if I find computers with a phone jack.
Yup, easy and good place to find free gold.
👌👍
From my experience those weights are lead, Sometimes steel. I haven't encountered any that are cast aluminum.
I think it's lead too, also one in the horn/handset
Nice
Thanks for watching.
do you scrape the gold off the prongs ?
Right now just have been storing them up. Not sure if I will extract myself as Canada laws can be hard to get the different acids. May just hold on to and then sell online
What about old flip phones is there gold in them? Thanks save it and make a bar.
Yup. I do have a video on old cell phones. The prongs are gold plated as well.
Do you feel like going on a road trip? I may have the mother lode. How far are you willing to travel?
with gas prices at $1.78 a litre right now, not too far! lol
@TinManScrapper ya, this is quite far across Canada. I'm originally from Kitchener, Ontario. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I have to check out a few things here to confirm the actual numbers, but I'm clearing a few properties out of all their metal. There's an estimated 10 million lbs of scrap at the first place that I'm starting at, and I'd imagine the other properties have just as much. The contractor suspects that it would take me over 5 years to clean out the one company property. I'm going to start tackling the project this weekend doing as many valuable quick grabs on things as I can to have a comfortable float of money to make the project run a little more efficiently. I was just about to tear down one of my houses and rebuild a new house. I was excited to pull the 4" copper stink pipe out. It's a 20-footer. I will have to wait on my own stuff and jump on this scrap!!! Once I get a float of money going, I will get ahold of you again and fill you in on more details, and send you some pictures. Forget driving here, although it's a beautiful drive! I will fly you out here first class. I'm doing this solo, and quietly. I don't want someone muscling in on some of the work. They will also be letting me use their light and heavy equipment if needed to move stuff around. Think about it. I'd make it worth your while for certain. It would be great for your channel with never-ending scrap. Farming and oilfield equipment, heavy and light tractor equipment, vehicles, house trailers, Texas gates, corrals, appliances. Just to name a few things.
Does sound tempting. Let me know down the road.@@integralmalfunction
As a teacher, summer will be more quiet so we will see. PS #2 copper going for $5.00 lb in London right now
O day James I can see young kids playing with phone. Thanks interesting video
They love them.
Yo Tin man do you use hair products? Your hair always looks wet like you just hopped out the shower!
I do usually brush my hair before getting in camera and sometimes have to put a little product in it. If not, I look like Cosmo Kramer.
OMG HELP ME PLEASE!!😣
Im outta here!!

I here yah!! Completely boring by a nerd with greasy hair! It's Superman!😂😂👍👍👍
I guess some of Tinman's retarded students are trying to troll him (and failing badly because of their low IQ). ROTFL! FAIL!

Low IQ response
Wow, using the word retarted! The students are 4-6 years old. You seem to have a lot of hatred, I will pray for you!
Is your hair wet or GREEZY?
Wet, I just washed it and it was slicked back.
If they still work save um. They're worth there weight in gold! 😮✌😵
They were pretty tarnished and banged up. I kept the ones that still worked, as you say they are worth more in good workable condition. Two of them I did bring to the kindergarten classes to play with
