And 4 remember DO NOT use Peppermint, TeaTree(Melaleuca), or Eucalyptus in rooms that have pets in them.

You should use a baking soda carpet cleaner that was DESIGNED for vacuuming. Using regular baking soda can cause problems for your carpet floor and vacuum cleaner.

Bless you but we all had some issues growing up. I came from a dysfunctional household myself fights and cops at the house on the regular. (Every Friday night) Embarrassing but strangely none of the neighborhood kids teased me about it in school on Monday. But keep learning it's a blessing in disguise. Just tried this today! I’ve used baking soda on the floors in the past, but never with essential oils. My living room is smelling like lemongrass. So fresh!
I've been using a 50/50 mix of baking soda and borax, with a dozen or so drops of peppermint essential oil as a vacuum powder for years. It really helps to keep my shag carpet from smelling musty, and works as a great preparation for steam cleaning, too.
