NO WE DON'T need a remaster. This game works perfectly on modern windows. Every video on this game has some-one saying it needs a remaster. It doesn't. I'd rather they spen that time creating a brand new game rather than remastering one we've already got.

I remember watching my dad play this when I was very young. We had an OG Xbox for a short time (A friend loaned it to us or something, I only remember it being there for a few months and then disappearing), and this was one of the few games we had besides Grabbed by the Ghoulies (another one I remember fondly). Many a nights were spent with the family around the TV watching this. years later, when I turned 13, I saved up and bought a 360, and I was visiting a local game store and looking through their selections of OG Xbox titles (I was looking for Grabbed By the Ghoulies), and I saw this for, like, five bucks. I bought both of them on the spot, took them home and played through this one over the weekend. Didn’t regret it a bit. My 360 died years ago, but I just recently built a computer for myself, and I’m going to buy this on Steam ASAP.

So far the most enjoyable Indy game i ever played (not counting Lego games)
The only thing this game is lacking tho is some interesting puzzles. They are just so simple here.
My perfect recipe for new Indy game is fusing action and whip mechanics from Emperor's Tomb, exploration (and backtracking :P ) from Infernal Machine and interaction, puzzles and alternate paths/endings from Fate of Atlantis

I love this game a lot
Spent hours on it as a kid and still play it a lot now a days especially since it now works on the Xbox one
Whats with the bad remarks on this game? Look at the Steam reviews and many others. It's one of the best in the franchise. Even by todays standards.
It really has a couple of annoying things, but overall, a freakin' awesome game ;)

I agree. It is definitly better than the clunky "Infernal Machine" (not to mention Staff of Kings). In terms of "cinematic experience" it is also better than Fate of Atlantis. FoA has inferior graphics and a couple of WTF-moments that take you out of the indy-experience (using bubble-gum on shoes for traction e,g,); noheck, even the "acton path" in FoA lacks the cinematic action of the movies. Emperor´s tomb has the best overall presentation of all the Indy games and therefore is (IMO) the best Indy game to date.

My 2nd favourite Indy game. PC version is the best as both Xbox and PS2 versions had some bug issues. The Collective had their hands in some big franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Love the fighting physics in this with using environmental objects like chairs and planks etc...

I loved this game! I never actually completed it. I got stuck in Istanbul back in 2009, but my PlayStation broke, so yeah. I bought it for Xbox years later, but it stops working halfway through Prauge. So I'm trying to get a new one.

Looks a lot like Uncharted! I was always in awe of the Temple of Doom arcade game as a kid.. Indy makes for great titles

Gostava de arranjar a versão big box deste jogo, mas é muito difícil de apanhar... a capa é mesmo fantástica, desenhada à mão, ao bom estilo dos posters de cinema :) Este jogo saiu pouco depois do horrível Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness. Foi, portanto, uma lufada de ar fresco no género e naquele ano de 2003. Depois veio o Uncharted, numa altura que a LucasArts estava a desenvolver um novo jogo com o Indiana Jones para as consolas da geração seguinte (x360 e ps3). Escusado será dizer que a LucasArts e os envolvidos no projeto ficaram de boca aberta a olhar para o trabalho incrível da Naughty Dog e acabaram por direcionar e refazer o Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings para a PS2 e a Wii. Foi o princípio do fim para a LucasArts.

Those graphic are pretty good for 2003. I never beat it I never got passed the ghost warriors at near the end. Might replay sometime and try again.

@@itsaPIXELthing I have it for ps2 but I just downloaded it on Xbox one for the sake of convenience and my good ps2 controller is sluggish. Better than I remember but I’m not looking forward to the section where you’re being chased with that giant drill.
@@NCC1371 I just started playing it on my ps2 and Im on chapter 3 right now. The game is just too hard, sometimes I really have no idea where to go. The map doesn't do anything 😂
I'm torn between this and Infernal Machine as the best Indy game. I prefer the more tomb raiding and puzzle focus of Infernal, but I enjoy the overall popcorn fun vibe of this one more.

I played the demo...back then....I loved the soundtrack...but the game itself...not so much....
But I am a big fan of Indiana Jones...so I also have the pc version....
Remember that, back in 2003, the Angel of Darkness (Tomb Raider) was also released, and the Emperor's Tomb was, for me at least, a breath of fresh air and I was also really looking forward a new Indy game after the amazing Infernal Machine ;)

Beautiful game but i preferred "The infernal Machine" and of course the masterpieces "the Last crusade" and "Fate of Atlantis" (adventure versions). Nevertheless "The emperor's tomb" is a solid action adventure that i very much enjoyed 15 years ago.

This is the only Indy game that I actually wish had been one of the movies.

Personally, I've found the Xbox version the closest to the superior PC game.
Xbox version also has better graphics, but PS2 feels more nostalgic to me since its the console I played the game on.
It played very similar to the 1st prince of Persia on xbox.

In the timeline this beginning of his career so he hasn’t really faced to much magic at the time. He said in raiders he doesn’t really believe in that stuff but even in temple of doom he experienced a little of magic. So the whole things a bit of a mess. Marcus literally says the ark of the covenant is the most magical thing he’s gone after while in this game he’s fought ancient ghost warriors gone into the netherworld and fought a ghost dragon but still love this game to death.

É realmente curioso o Staff of Kings não ter saído na Xbox original, uma vez que esteve disponível para PS2 e Wii. Mas, se bem me lembro, também não era para sair na PS2 e Wii, mas sim na PS3 e Xbox 360. O processo de desenvolvimento estava a demorar bastante tempo e a LucasArts acabou por desistir dessa versão de nova geração e reaproveitar algum do código já concluído para criar o Staff of Kings. Julgo que o lançamento do primeiro Uncharted também contribuiu para isso, pois a LucasArts percebeu que tinha perdido uma excelente oportunidade de lançar um jogo similar.

It really captures the spirit of Indy's movies. If you're willing to try it out, the PC version is the more refined and, overall, enjoyable version.

Back in 2003 I was really looking forward for a new Indy game after the amazing Infernal Machine. When this one finally arrived, I was blown away, 'cause the Tomb Raider franchise was really on a down slope with the Angel of Darkness released that same year.
